Noooo.... I don't care for him and his style. He used to appear on Michigan PBS fund raisers. He died a while back. No more fund raisers Bravo :-) I really like what he says @6:40, "If it's an immoral rule, it's immoral to obey it." He goes on to speak about how Rosa Parks sat up front on the bus. |

He was always on about there's a spiritual solution to every problem. Maybe. But that's not always the best solution. Hit a nail with a hammer, don't meditate on if for an hour.
Rosa Parks thing was a bit mythologized. I remember learning it rather simplistically as a kid. "She was told to sit in back in the bus because she was black but refused to sit in the back of the bus." But the reality, she was an active part of a civil right group, they specifically knew that driver was an asshole and targeted him to make a statement. Does not invalidate the action, but there's more to it than "One day, one lone woman just stood against racism" implied by popular culture.
