I'm confused I thought the premise of Thunderbolts were supervillains pretending to be superheroes.
Instead the MCU version seems more like Suicide Squad with marvel c-listers. I've never actually read the comics, though.

Fun fact, Harry Dean Stanton and director Alex Cox didn't get along and Stanton's role was almost reduced. Stanton was a bit of an asshole it seems, from what I read. I like Stanton, but he was a character actor and a character actor acting like primadonna is rather foolish.
Cox ruined his chance for a big Hollywood career with a movie WALKER, which is strange movie about an American who took a private army and took over Nicaragua, but the movie is made like a live-action political cartoon with anachronistic elements. It lost the studio like 6 million dollars.
