Typical. I've been feeling for a long time now it's important to distance myself from Star Wars.
G.I. JOE was simple. It was always primarily just toys. I followed the cartoon and comics, but it was my own universe, my backyard battles that were the most fun. Nobody can take that away.
Lucas altered the original trilogy, as if making the prequels were not bad enough.
Disney will probably make some good movies, maybe some good toys too....but I'll never be able to trust Star Wars ever again.
The originals showed heroic sacrifice, characters paid for victory (or loss) with their lives. A few well spoken words about the force would explain how the entire universe worked. Heroes arose from pirates, scoundrels, a farmboy, a princess and several other underdogs. Ancient warriors could take the form of a short green elf. Villains were truly menacing and fearful. Stormtroopers were obviously white, because racial purification and genocide were real. And gangsters who captured princesses made them wear skimpy outfits.
Now, I wouldn't be surprised if Kylo Ren takes off his mask and we see Mickey Mouse.

In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin (Vader) outright kills kids...sure they don't actually show the kill. But come on, kid killer merchandise is acceptable, but metal bikini Leia is not?

1000% agree Bravo.
Who's to say they won't edit Leia from ROTJ to not be in a bikini at all?
This is the price we pay for being fans of someone else's universe....and that person decides to literally rewrite it, then sell it to Disney.
