Mattel released the SDCC exclusive, Wily-Kit and Wily-KatI should have subscribed to the line, I probably will next time. I know I want Cheetarah, Bengali, Pumyra and probably some others once I see them.

It wouldn't matter if you subscribed, you'd still miss out on two imporant characters made a con exclusive.

Sooooo....Mattel is going to release the Thunderkittens on their website Monday at 9am. My guess is they will sell out in 3 minutes or less, I don't have to work on Mondays, so I hope I can get an order in

And then they'll cancel the line, if you believe the rumors. That and He-Man.
Even if they did, I'd think they had all that tooling that they'd come up with more exclusives.

I think He-Man is done. They may continue the Club Greyskull line though, lolz No, I really do think He-Man is done...at least for a while....or after they release what was shown at the last SDCC. I'll tell you why I feel that way....because Snake Mountain got cancelled. It really says it all. But I could be wrong. I think they're just going to push Thundercats is all. I'm really fine with that. I'm ready for Thundercats....but I mainly just want the girls; Pumyra, Cheetarah and Chilla

I got my order for the Thunderkittens in. They made it available to everyone online, but it sold out in less than two minutes. I was lucky I had the day off from work so I could order them...and lucky that my order went through. A bunch of people are complaining they couldn't complete their order at checkout....but I think they're going to put more up at 9am for the next couple days while SDCC is going on. They should just do preorders.
And so it begins...the Thundercats....are.....loose.

I heard that about Filmation Skeletor, too. Mattel would rather underproduce and let other people charge 5 times their prices.

Super 7's boss says Thundercats are a no-go, they couldn't get the rights owners (WB?) to let them continue Mattel's line. It's dead, jim.

Kind of surprisong since Mezco has been making Thundercat figures, how hard can it be to get the license? lol :-)
I only really wanted Cheetarah, Chilla, and Ratar-O.

Seems to be Warner Brothers for whatever reason.

It's a shame. I would get Mezco's 14" Cheetarah. It's a good figure, just not scale to anything else I have.
Oh well. Bummer since it looks like Super7 is killing it with the Filmation style, and since most of the MOTU figures have been done, perfect time to jump into a new line.
I wonder if they can get to do Blackstar or Bravestar...or Thundar the Barbarian :-)

Blackstar has limited character selection, and a limited number of episodes (13). Most of the good guys are Trobbits, which means they can't reuse standard bodies. Thundarr would be cool. It had more episodes to work with (21). Bravestar...the fantasy lines have following, but Bravestar is sci-fi western. Not sure how that would go.

I guess Super7 is doing Thundercats, They are reissuing some of the ones Mattel did www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/99256The thing that's cool about Thundercats is there isn't an endless selection of characters. I think there's about 20. I did like this line as a kid. I got the ones I could from Mattel...after the cancellation, I'm not sure it's worth buying into. Plus, I'm just not impress with Super7's figures for Masters of the Universe.

It's a bit late. Not their fault, whomever controlled the rights probably wouldn't cave in until recently. Not sure leading with 4 reissues is a wise move. What if they don't get enough preorders?
A lot of the later toy Thundercats characters were stupid as heck.

The Mattel Thundercats preorder sold out really quick, and wasn't advertised very well. The in stock stuff sold out like in seconds, so I can see why they are rereleasing them...and Mummra was only for the exclusive if you preordered. I don't remember her name, but she's like the Ice Queen or something, she was a villain in Season 2, I really liked her :-)
