Found a couple videos on youtube for Terminator 2 3D Battle across time. The quality is kind of weird cause it's 3-D, but it's pretty good. Since they closed the "ride" down this is the only way you can see it now. I remember getting my Bluerey copy of Terminator 2 and the special features talked about the ride at Universal Studios, and I was so excited, I hopped on a plane to go see it that weekend :-)

I watched Ad Astra on the plane because of Bravo's review :-) I agree, it was pretty much okay. I felt the whole thing was a fanboys dream of Fight Club, about Tyler Durdent's "Space Monkeys".
I also saw Tolkien. I really enjoyed it. It gives fans of Lord of the Rings a good description of where those stories came from.

Tolkien was on some worst movies of 2019 list. Of course that list included Dark Phoenix, which is harsh. Yeah, I was disappointed by it, but seemed like there was a lot worst stuff out there.

I forgot, I did watch the Dark Phoenix on the plane...and John Wick 3...long flights. I swear, skip going to the movies all year and just put that money towards a long trip, you will be able to watch all of those movies then. I personally, didn't think Dark Phoenix was bad...*waits for tomatoes to be thrown at me*, it's not my favorite X-men movie or anything, but it didn't seem terrible either. I know it's not comic accurate, but neither is literally every other X-men film.
John Wick...the more movies they make for this, the more it feels like the Matrix. I mean, even Morpheus has a role in it. Fun fact, John Wick 4 and the Matrix 4 also have the same release date, May 21, 2021.

You watched Dark Phoenix on a plane, I paid $6 and went out of my way.
I thought the (of course shaping changing) aliens after the phoenix force seemed like an obligatory evil for no reason villain that everyone could unite against. And suddenly there's aliens in the Fox X-Men world.
The whole world thinks the X-Men are heroes, then one loses control and they and all mutants are now to be persecuted...again.
Magneto takes a couple of non-characters with him to be killed off. Okay.
Of course Beast, Xavier, and Magneto haven't aged much since the 1960's.
Both Magneto and Xavier quitting their respective groups seemed out of character.
Again, not terrible, just as the last gasp of FOX-MEN (that New Mutants movie is in limbo), it was disappointing to me.

I read X-Men comics as a kid and one of the problems these movies have is these famous stories played out over a long period of time. You got rewarded for reading years of issues. I also take issue of Sophie Turner as Jean Grey. Jean Grey is a true beauty, not offense to Sophie Turner (I have noticed a lot of the Game of Thrones lot has got movie chances, none have really hit that big movie star jackpot).
The Fox X-Men movies I think are "good"... X2: X-Men United X-Men: Days of Future Past Logan
The worst: X-Men Origins: Wolverine X-Men: The Last Stand (They tried to adapt two stories at once, big mistake) X-Men: Apocalypse (This one annoys me a lot because in some cases, the characters look the part, but... not much of a script, definitely the most bland of them)

There was a deleted scene from X-Men Apocalypse where Cyclops says Jean looks like Boy George.
I find all the X-Men movies watchable. Though, I had my fill of X-Men Origins Wolverine. They ran it on basic cable a million times.

I like the action scenes with Quicksilver My favorites: X-Men X2 Logan I feel like those three together make the best story. The other ones are just like bonus material to me.

1917 - Pretty damn good movie. No real message to it, just ugliness of World War 1 as it follows two men sent with orders to stop an attack.
9/10

Finally watched Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. It follows the rule that any movie with "final" in its title sucks. The previous film were enjoyable but empty and stupid movies on some level. This one just ignores continuity for revelations that make no sense, like when some bad guy says that global warming will wipe out 90% of inhabitable land. Ummm...no. Not that much water on Earth. And it lacks the budget to do the promised battle at the end of the fifth movie. So...*shrug* Glad I didn't pay to see it at the cinema, actually the only one I saw at the movies was #3 on second run.

Watching THUNDERCATS ROAR, which I assumed would be terrible. But once I got used to the animation style, it's funny. They use the old cartoon's music in the episodes, which helps with the absurd self-parody. Yes, it's self-parody, which I'm sure Thundercats fans would hate. But since they didn't show the original cartoon where I lived (I'd seen a episode now and then visiting my grandparents), I've got less attachment to the franchise.
Also Star Trek: Lower Decks, instantly hated by everyone on youtube who make videos hating everything new. Two eps in and it's watchable.

I've been watching Alias on Amazon Prime. Its enjoyable weekly spy show. But anytime she is hanging out with her generic 'real world' friends the show is boring. LOL

So, I watched Dora and the Lost City of Gold on Amazon Prime.
I found it thoroughly enjoyable. I remember Isabela Moner from a Transformers movie. She has a lot of charisma and impossible not to like. Always positive and wide eyed, she definitely carries the movie. The other teenagers get swept up in a jungle adventure with her. Before, you get fish out of water stuff at high school with her. Both sections of the movie are fun. The jungle adventure even has hallucination moment where they are their cartoon selfs. Overall, I think its a very well done family movie. I give it 3 stars out of 4.
