www.hasbrolab.com/Incredible...$500....dayummmn. That's a chunk of change. Oh, plus tax. And you got 44 days to decide. I really think they should've started with something smaller and given more lead time. Like "the campaign launches in 2 months or 3 months" But no, sell your soul or kidney or first born now!! I get they want the Toy Fair hype, but...it's a bit blunt to give someone less than two months for a "put up or shut-up" kickstarter.

They should give fans more time, totally agree. It's cool that fans who want this, now have the option. Honestly, I'm glad to be done. The Sail Barge is cool, but this thing will take up the most space out of any Star Wars item I own, and that's saying a lot.

The most viable way I could do it was to get two then eventually sell the second one to pay for the one I keep!

That's probably the case with most fans, and why you will see them pop up on ebay right away for $1000.
I will say this, my Code3 Die-Cast Star Wars vehicles were cheaper.
Before you even think about the price, I say, ask yourself, "Do you even have anyplace or any way to display it nicely?" In this case, do you have a bunch of Jabba's henchmen, and will it improve the display you already have? Or are those figures just sitting in a box?
Often I would say, "I can put it here", even though I have something else there, and then have no space when the item arrives, and then you're stuck with clutter. The worst part is, that before I would even make space to display it, I would be busy already looking for the next thing to collect.
I had a display years ago, of all of my Jabba's henchmen on the wall mounted shelves, and I displayed them in the outline shape of the sail barge, and used 2 pieces of red posters for the sails and just tac'd them up. I thought it was great :-)

I got clutter everywhere already.
The more I think about this, the more I just want to quit collecting Star Wars. I mean, I kinda did quit besides clearance and yard sale finds. GI JOE collecting was ruined by the collector's club shit. Star Wars collecting was ruined by distribution problems...and now we got a "back this now or pay 200% on the after market" item.

If they had never made any new Star Wars movies, I would have preordered this right away. The new movies (including the prequels) changed everything for me with Star Wars. It's just taken me a while to admit it to myself.
G.I. JOE, really the new 25th style ruined it for me. Some figures looked epic, while most of them just don't appeal to me, and I doubt they will last compared to the classic O-ring figures. I hate all of the add on gear, makes the figures look jumbled. And the hand grips, really the figures should all have alternate hands to snap on for different poses (like saluting). They all seem to have the same jagged gripping hand which makes them look horrible if they aren't holding a weapon. Classic Joe's always looked good :-)
About the only thing I'm still possibly collecting are the MOTU and Mythic Legions figures. Ideally, I would like a massive chess board where me and a friend could choose sets to play a game with (elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, knights, ect. I doubt I'll ever do this though. I'm just not that interested.
Even MOTU, I'm like, "Meh...", these days, lol :-)
The Sail Barge is an easy pass for me, because I don't have room for the stuff I have now. I bet they do make an accurate 1:18 Falcon with this kickstarter program.
And really, if they are going to make a Sail Barge, they should update the Air Skiffs, those are more 1/24 scale.

It succeeded, over 7000 backers, Hasbro claims it will not be available in US and Canada after...well, today's the last day.
So I can quit Star Wars now.

I let it go.
But the last thing I want to do right now is ADD to my Star Wars collection.

I almost feel bad about passing it up. It would look good in my collection, the way I have been displaying my vehicles... and I do have most, like 99% of Jabba's guys, and probably any other figure would look cool displayed in this set up too. It's just deep down, I want to unload my Star Wars collection. It's not out of anger or frustration, just not what I'm into anymore, and I don't see myself going back. I already know it's going to take a lot of work to get this done. If I was keeping my collection, I would have totally got this though.
