It is the peak of 80s goodness. Starscream being destroyed was so shocking to me. Rogue One is fine as a movie. Solo comes off as a tv show episode. Thor, I don't know much about the comic either, just wanted Jane Foster fem Thor for the heck of it. Maybe we'll get a 3.75 Natalie Portman Marvel fig once Thor Love and Thunder comes out. Spider-Man, even the bad movies, still entertaining. Great character. Hopefully Disney and Sony can get back together.

I was shocked when Ironhide was killed. He was my favorite autobot, a transformer with a mohawk :-)
It's a bummer about Sony taking Spiderman away from the MCU, but I kind of feel like the MCU has reached it's peak.
Honestly, I feel the comic movies have been played out at this point. They did a lot of them good, but I don't see them making new ones successfully.
There's supposed to be a Snake-Eyes movie played by Henry Golding. Bad choice IMHO.

Its crazy how movie people have been trying to get GIJoe working as a movie deal. Transformers has robots fighting. That's the reason its been a success in the past. With GIJoe, there's plenty of action movies out there, so you have to offer something unique. Your going to tap in on Snake Eyes and what he went through, I suppose, but then run away from the character in terms of his race. That's dumb. I'll give Hama one thing, he did undercut stereotypes with the tragedy of war and the loss of Snake Eyes' family. He went to the clan because there was nothing else for him. Now Hollywood wants to "fix" it.

Moving away from the source material is always a bad idea. Whenever they do that, they drift from faithfull adaptation to fan-fiction. It would be fine to update the story to the modern era for a realistic timeline. Same thing they did with Punisher. Instead of Vietnam, it's Afghanistan. Other than that, don't change anything.
If I was doing the casting, I would go with Johnny Lawrence from Cobra Kai and the Karate Kid. He actually has "the look". And he could perform at least some of his own martial arts stunts & fights.

Yeah, there's always wars to choose from. And the other thing Hama did, he also eventually made Storm Shadow good so the stereotypes where undercut on both sides. I always think of that first Rambo movie and the message it made about the discarded American solider. Great movie. The idea with Snake Eyes is despite everything that happened to him, he didn't become embittered. I've always been a cartoon loyalist, but I can see that the stuff Larry did had great merit. Woke Hollywood is ruining all sorts of stuff. I did think I read that She-Ra cartoon was cancelled. It looked horrible.

Good points!
There is a new He-Man cartoon on the way that Kevin Smith (Jay and Silent Bob dude) is making that will be on netflix. He says it will pick up right where the original cartoon left off, and the animation will be similar. That's pretty cool. I guess there is potentially a He-Man movie in the works (live action)...*sigh*, I wish they would leave it alone....same for G.I.JOE at this point, just make something new people, stop screwing with my epic nostalgia :-)
I can't really stand most anime, except for Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Full Metal Alchemist...so the new She-Ra cartoon is an easy pass. Apparently Cat-Ra and She-Ra are in love :-)

The She-Ra cartoon was a vehicle to push LGBTQ stuff. The people behind the show had no love for the original. I actually recall the voice actress of She-Ra calling them out for changing the character. I always preferred the She-Ra cartoon because it pushed the mythos forward and what went on with Adora was a horrible tragedy.

So, I got this off of the Disney Rewards site with my points. Why? It was the best thing on the store. Most options are lame DVDs or posters they want to move. This is the only unique item I saw. Not sure what the point of the box is. But its free, so I can't complain too much! LOL

Love it :-) Tinkerbell is so much fun, there are some great little statues of her, this is one of them. I think the box is supposed to be one of the toys in the children's bedroom. She looks like the cartoon, and is the right scale. And she fits right in with a room full of toys :-) Sideshow has some really expensive female fantasy statues from J. Scott Campbells artwork. Too expensive to buy (I swear, statues always break and/or get chipped), but they are fun to look at. Alice in Wonderland, this one is my favorite, it works really well because Alice does shrink in size after eating the mushroom. The Little Mermaid, she looks very sexy, they've made like 3 variants...but as far as scale, it just doesn't work IMHO. Mermaids are the size of humans IMHO, and the water stand is kind of weird. It's a cool piece because of the boobs, lol. and Tinkerbell...there's too many problems I have with this...She's looking too far back, like it would hurt your neck to turn that far, they stuck some weird thing on her foot to make her stand properly...shame, it looks like she stepped in gum...and then the size...way too big to be Tinkerbell. I have a nude fairy statue that is just beautifull. It cost like $70 I think. I am fine with larger fairies...it just doesn't work for Tinkerbell.

Yeah, in terms of display pieces, my price limit is usually around 100. Going 300+ is way too much for me. LOL.

I swear statues always break, or chip, then it's just a piece of junk. It's just a matter of time. I don't care how careful you are. Not to mention all the quality control issues....and the final product not matching up to the prototypes. I think your Tinkerbell looks a lot better than the statue of the J. Scott Campbell version. Seriously, if I had to choose between the two. She looks like the cartoon and the right scale...and not stepping in gum

Yeah, buying all these marvel movies on steelbooks, I got a bunch of points, but the stuff to get as a reward, lame DVDs that you can get much better versions of. I didn't realize how big this Tinker Bell was going to be. They packaged it well, too. I'm not sure where I'll put it, but she does look great.

I could've gotten you a Jyn for cheaper than that at some point. TVC ones (same figure) have been over-saturated and some have found them on clearance. I never really did, though. Star Wars at retail is a sick joke now. I saw the second 2018 wave like once on damaged cards at actual retail.
If you have any interest in that Force Awakes Leia in the blue gown. I got a few extra.

I'd want ANH Leia, but not old Leia, lol.
Man, I had to spend some of my cash on over the counter meds. My nose was going crazy, and over the counter meds get expensive. But at least I'll have it on hand now, next time it happens. Blah.

New movies and figs: A Cyclops and Whiplash as in the likeness of Mickey Rourke from Iron Man 2. An interesting performance and concept, but the movie came too early and was a cluttered, lackluster and had poor pacing. I do like the character though. Movies: Jurassic Park box set Alien movie box set Die Hard movie box set The Lion King The Goonies Cinderella Oh and the Gummi Bears Filling in the gaps of movies. A lot of good stuff.
