More of the 1989 look... those eyes :-) Slightly off topic. I'm more convinced that if Snake Eyes could be any mutant in the Marvel Universe, that it would be Deadpool... The severe burns go with the concept that Snake-Eyes' real face was too disgusting to look at (its portrayed that way in the comics). His costume just needs to be all black...that's about it...just needs goggles, sunglasses or a visor. In the Wolverine Origins movie, his mouth is sealed shut...it would explain why Snake Eyes can't talk. He can heal/survive anything...just like SE. He's really good at martial arts, fighting in general...like SE.

The one thing that bugs me about Spider-Man, he's supposed to be pretty smart in his own right, but the comics have always kind of left him in this murky mid-20s underachiever place, so he is with his Aunt, he works for JJ, which is funny, but kind of sad. He probably should be as big as Tony in terms of impact via inventions and such.
Then the movies make him into this sycophant for Iron Man, almost the Jimmy Olsen at his worst to Superman.
That said, Spider-Man was my deal as a kid. The MCU outfits for him have been pretty cool.
Snake-Eyes. The GIJoe movies never sat the world on fire and he is mute, so its hard to drive a narrative. He's an interesting character, the backstory from the comics is cool. I actually eventually plan on making another go at reading the original Joe comics.

Spider-Man was my kid hero too :-) I had the Secret Wars Spider-Man, and although not 3 3/4, it was one of my favorite toys...I had a blast playing with that figure. I loved the Spider-Man cartoon series, and then the Spider-Man and Friends cartoon. Firestar was hot and Iceman was cool (lol! puns intended.)
I do like the kid that has played him in the new movies, he's made me laugh out loud multiple times, "Hey you guys remember that really old movie Empire Strikes Back!" I feel like Iron-Man is more his adopted father rather than Spidey just being a side kick.
G.I. JOE comics... I've never actually read the last issue, just the summary...I'd like to one day. The IDW hardcover volume rereleases of the original series should have been completed years ago, and its doubt-full they will complete the line...maybe, who knows. I feel like that last issue has avoided me my whole life, and if I ever read that issue... then I would be done with G.I.JOE forever.

I saw a new blue power ranger that was very reminiscent of 1991 Snake-Eyes
