This is some crazy shit. Even Pixel Dan has a video up about how they have already censored a ton of his videos. He said his Ninja Turtles videos all had to be deemed "For kids", and the weird thing is, that means they don't get put into a search engine, and you won't be able to find them...oh, and if they deem one of his videos as a kid video, and it's not listed as a kids video, he will get fines like $40,000....it's really fuct up. They even deleted the comments section on those videos! Yes, the government, your tax dollars are being used to shut down discussion about Ninja Turtles.
I want to say something like, "Hey, go tell your congress person to...." but the problem is, it's too late for all of that.
I'm even worried about this forum!
I'd love to hear any thoughts you guys have.

I only recently heard about it. Sounds like it's really gonna kill a lot of people's channels and their lively hoods from them. It's not just toy and game reviews, but anything that can be considered for kids? All the stop motion animations?
So, if proboards does that...that would be on them. I guess? Because the whole thing is that youtube is throwing content creators under the bus. Youtube might imploded after this and all the political bias banning/demontenizing/adpocalypse stuff.

Hmmm. Look at the wiki page and scroll down to the Criticisms section. The entire thing sounds stupid. Censorious AND regulatory overreach from dumb law makers and YT itself, all in the name of the children.
The thing about content creators, one, I think most these days need a patreon to get a flow of money from loyal fans that is not connected to YouTube.
But if you cover any kind of nerd/geek media, video games, music, movies, tv, cartoons, toys... ANYTHING can possibly appeal to children. The entire thing is dumb, dumb dumb.

I don't think it's about kids at all. It's an excuse to make the internet more like cable television. They want just want total control the internet.

Well, yeah, I agree. This basically takes the YOU out of YouTube. This kind of stuff isn't going to hurt big companies at all.
