You know, I will say, I think artists get piled on at times, but the one thing I think is lame is when they steal posing from existing work, here's an example:

Wow. There was some artist notorious for taking poses from photos, including adult magazines. I can understand that as a time saver, but call Cable there even be an homage is a stretch. So many things were kept the same.
I'm Shadow-Force....

I'd have less issue taking poses from real life people/images than copying art from other comics. During the Clone Saga, Peter hits MJ. Ant-Man has never been able to live down hitting Wasp, but most people hand wave this away because Clone Saga was shit and Peter was out of character alot of the time in it anyway.

So, Tom King goes in on the Batman and his work is doing well. Building to a Batman/Catwoman wedding. Well, Selina leaves Bruce at the alter. Making him look like a chump and the fans felt burned. Then in the aftermath, Tim Drake tries to offer Bruce comfort, and Bruce goes crazy on him. Two things, yes, Batman loves Catwoman, but he'd never let his feelings trump his life long mission. And having Batman be this unstable undercuts the character. It was around this time fans turned on the writer as it became apparent he was inserting his emotional problems in the book , "muh trauma" as it were. The other thing is Batman is a benchmark book, as bad as comics are doing, as bad as DC is doing, Batman always sells, but sells starting going down after all this and they had to shuffle him off and onto a Bat/Cat mini-series to rap up his storylines and let someone come in and get Batman proper back on track.

This is Marvel's latest cringe.
First off, the mask is gonna be outdated before she makes it to print. Second, that name, apparently it means ballsack, so they didn't consult actual Filipinos. Also, making her a Captain America spinoff character limits her ability to not get shuffled off into nothingness.

Harley get forgiven for all that stuff she did because she became too marketable to be just Joker's sidekick, nice to see Martha Kent not having that shit. Of course, this is from Injustice 2 #36. So, its in its own verse. Still nice to see HQ getting called on her stuff.

Yeah, the trend to make popular villains into protagonists and female villains in particular get changed to anti-heroes. We already had Catwoman slide from villain to vigilante.

Tony Salmons did some of the worst art in vintage ARAH Marvel, thankfully he only did a few issues.
