It's just like a side story. It's not even a side character, that while not essential, adds to something. Either this multiverse side story is happening and you are committed to it in a display or I dunno, you come up with some other reason he exists.
I was kind of pro-more Anti-Eternia repaints, then I read the comics. I learned it was a one and done story. So it's "over" in my mind. And some of the "evil" warrior repaints might be more interesting that all-black heroic warriors, but even those amount to Tri-Klop and Trap Jaw with "royal guard" orange armor/clothes and Red Beastman, who is already sourced from early minicomics anyway.
