Joe Declassified digs up interesting stuff. www.joedeclassified.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=629Ra Bif - T'Sun - Spider Handler Wow, they really had a thing for handlers/trainers. I mean, people made fun of Raptor. A guy whose sole function is to weaponize spiders? Political correctness cost us some unique, if cheesy, enemy characters. I wonder if that's why they just stuck to mostly faceless new troopers for Cobra? The rest of the concept sketches are strange. Environmental response team? Hot Foot?

I seem recall a character on Spiral Zone named Raw Meat.

These guys looked kinda goofy. I wonder what other half-brained attempt we don't know about?

The Missile system looks cool, the drill looks like a better version of the TMNT Foot Drillermajig.

Some concept stuff is up for auction from a fan's collection Hake's AuctionsApaprently this was an early art for Frag-Viper...from 1986. Overkill concepts, seems he started out as cyborg similar to his "new sculpt" versions. Unmade Star Brigade Power Fighter

I like that someone spent FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS on that Frag Viper art. Nerds losing money is still a thing!

But maybe they'll use in the book they've been working on for the past 5 years (and will likely never finish) and get mad when anyone posts the art online because they own it now.

More of those auctions The never made BATTLE TRACKS vehicle. It's just a pair of treads and guns attached! It's that HISS Scout from ROC line. Only much bigger. Art is dated 1986 (So 1987 could've been even stranger) Something that never got a name Skid Mark...could've been cool!

A lot of those BATTLE TRACKS ideas look like they got used in the Raider. Also holy shit is "BATTLE TRACKS" a bad name, it's more MOTU or Spytroops era G.I. Joe than 1987.

Unmade Battlefield Messenger. Here's the message to him "You suck!" Sadly the final Hammerhead wasn't as missile crazy as the early design Another one that is nameless

Wow, that's soooo terrible :-) The hair on the side of his head...I can't stop laughing!
I can't believe they didn't use it. Perfect opposition to Croc Master and Raptor.
What a brilliant name. I guess they couldn't use "Panthor" because of Thundercats.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Why is he chained to a panther? If that Panther tried to run away the chains would be pulled under his crotch and ouch!
And overloaded with grenades?
maybe his hair was inspired by Weequay from Return of the Jedi?
Some of the names were working names. Maybe he'd be named "Scabs". LOL

Maybe that big weight in the middle is to help keep the chain from pulling up his crotch?
I wonder what the Panthers name would be, Claws? Or Mr. Snuggles?
I also wonder about how the Panthors animal character would behave on the cartoon. I get the impression he'd be vicious to Joe's and Cobra's...except Jinx. This would become Jinx's friend and ally in some weird episode. And fans would get the figure just to get the Panther.
