Was bored, it's streaming on Netflix, gave it another go. I had subtitles on, and one of the guys on the first mission is described as "Shipwreck". I believe Duke orders him to get a beer before Cobra attacks.
Some terrible moments: Storm Shadow losing his shirt during the prison escape. It's just bad. Later he kind of looks coked out at Joe Coltons house.
The beginning is pretty bad, they basically need 10 minutes to explain the madness which happened in the first one.
Flint is good at jumping....that's about it.
Roadblock is good at everything.
Zartan made a better Cobra Commander than Cobra Commander, but he really is a step up from the first one.
I think they killed Destro off because the ending in the first one was so bad.
Thoughts on G.I. JOE 3:
Cobra Commander and Major Bludd are all that's left from what I can gather....I guess they could brainwash Storm Shadow.
They should have ended it with the second one.
All in all, I don't think this movie is half bad. Even kind of fun. Joe fans that hate it, not sure what they're looking for...24, Zero Dark Thirty, Blackhawk Down? Accurate 80's uniforms to match the original figures?
