Those look dyed, a surefire way to tell is if the lower-arms are much darker than the rest, as that was usually made of harder plastic that takes dye differently.
The dyed customs are an odd thing, I have a bunch and like them, but a lot of the ones that are done are real "what's the fucking point" style. The dude I'd get mine from at least had a sense of humour about them, and was always upfront about them.

I just noticed my last post didn't go through. I liked the Custom 1993 Cobra Eel in Sub Viper colors. Dude made the COBRA Eel cooler than Sub-Viper.
I dyed my 1989 Alley Vipers Black way back when. The orange all turned dark purple and the light blue stayed the same. I was always happier with it than the bright orange. The Retro look is pretty cool, but I just wanted what I believed should be the original design for Alley Vipers look. Also to closer match the 1997 COBRA Rage box art.
I also dyed my custom Battle Corps Stalker. I used the talking 1991 Stalker head, and Battle Corps Leatherneck body with Battle Corps Roadblock arms. To this day, it's my favorite Stalker figure. Although I still want to try a version using Hit & Run.

Assorted junk, poor attemtp to repaint Storm Shadow. Big Boa with Motor Viper head? Big Moto? The crimson twin one is funny, because year ago I got a lot of figures were someone put one of the twins' heads on Quick Kick's body.

I can't help but notice the cobra battle gear accessories. I always loved this card art. The whole original G.I. JOE team (minus Hawk) chasing one extremely elusive Crimson Guard :-) I hated those blue guns, I mean the weapons pack should at least have good looking guns, the originals look better. Never understood this logic except they must have had a ton of defects or something that they just threw in a box.

I noticed the playmobil rifle. Zuckuss gun and Rambo guns... Yeah, the baby blues were probably the worst colored accessory pack items. I think it's funny the COBRA Battle Gear includes red, white and blue accessories! Also, instead of "mobile strike force team" the back of the card says "Build your own Cobra militia"...like you can take some non-Joe figures and give them these guns and viola! COBRA MILITIA! This was years before the word "militia" was associated with radical extremist groups, as a kid I didn't even know the word. And when it was explained, like the minute men in the American revolution, it had a positive connotation. Maybe the colors were to shame kids who lost their original accessories. Everyone of that kid's peers would know how careless he was because his Crimson Guard was using a baby blue weapon! LOL. Yes, that Crimson Guard on the art can jump very high.

I like Zonya Blade :-)
Outback is pretty cool too. I still want to stick Outbacks head on a Blizzard figure. One of these days.

"Red makes it go fasta" - according to Space Orks
I know more about Warhammer 40K than I should considering I've never played it besides one PC game.

If only I had some extra cobra Officer heads back in the 80's, I could've ordered some cheap hooded cobra commanders and made some new troopers. Not enough guys with ammo belts, berets and eye-patches on this team. The guy on the far right has got it all going on.

You know what's weird about Night Force Tunnel Rat verses the Original? Original has face paint.
That Joe team is funny :-)
The Cobra Troopers...kind of look neat, should have the CC separated in the photo, and painted the gold black. But I hate those feet more than anything. Same thing I don't like about the Original Snake Eyes and Flash, the feet on those figures is terrible. Also, the Snake Eye's figures feet doesn't match his card art. Had Snake Eye's had Stalkers feet, would have looked epic in those boots. At this point, might as well make another version with Zaps torso for a Resolute version too.
I should dig up my figures and do it. I'll make that custom Snow Job too, and an Artic Whale. Screw Night Force, those red guns suck.

I wonder about those spats or whatever style trousers...how dirty that part under the shoe must get.
Two of that JOE LBC line-up have Nylint figure heads (bearded white guy and beret with eye patch). Nylint made some blue army team vehicles with figures, but the figures were a bit too short.
