I can't tell you how accurate it is to the comics, but it was good, for an X-men movie anyway. I enjoyed it start to finish. Future scenes were by far my favorite, I wish there were more, but that probably would have taken away from it's coolness.
It was confusing, and hard to follow, even if you have seen all of the other X-men movies, and their spin offs, like I have. However, that's the ONE thing I do remember about the X-men comics, so it definitely stayed true to that. I didn't see Cable, although I could have just missed him. Bishop was my favorite in this, but he has a small role. I'm not going to give away spoilers, it's too confusing for that. Bottom line, I enjoyed it. I guess their doing an Apocalypse movie or something slated for 2016....and Guardians of the Galaxy next....I think that one's about Thanos.

Yeah, it was good. I think the future scenes were weaker than the past scenes. The movie wasn't as Wolverine centric as feared. They discarded a chunk of First Class's cast, which is sort of a shame.
Did you watch the end credits scene. You can probably find it online if you didn't see it.

I missed it, was going to, but I watched with some friends from out of town, and they had a long drive ahead, so we split. Yeah I need to go find the clip...

SPOILER comments on the movie itself
It's funny that the previous film in the series, a movie I saw less than a year ago (The Wolverine) didn't happen! But this is Bryan Singer, who ignored Superman 3 and 4 and made Superman Returns, so at least we get some time-travel explanation this time.
So what did happen now? Rogue still has her grey streak. Scott is alive. Jean didn't die either time. How did Logan wind up in Weapon X or did he? We don't know if has adamantium in him anymore. Is Senator Kelly alive...was he even ever a senator? Is Pyro still at the school? Did Toad get struck by lightning and the same thing that happens to every other animal happened to him?

I was sorta looking forward to this. As a fan of the X-men in the 80s-90s, the only previous X-men movie I actually liked was First Class. There's just too much screwing around with established characters and other goofiness. Rogue's role in the first movie should have been Jubilee, but the totally fucked up Rogue to shoehorn the character in. Rogue should be a badass who has emotional breakdowns, not a whiny, confused teenager who has emotional breakdowns. Then they threw Juggernaut's historical/lore based origin out the window and made him a mutant...
Gonna finally see The Wolverine later today on HBO. I'll see how that goes.

I like that they totally reconned X-Men 1-3.
Wolverine does well with comedy.

Also retconned the two Wolverine films. So now truly First Class is a reboot.
