Bandai's designs, Hasbro stills own the Go-Bots trademarks, so they are technically aren't Go-Bots. Somehow I think they are cooler than Transformers, maybe because the character designs haven't been used in decades.

Go-Bots are awesome! There's a Master Piece style Cy-Kill out there somewhere. Looks cyk.

I really liked Turbo, Leader One and Rest-Q. I had most of the Go-Bots, and early stuff from Transformers, What I always loved about them were how good the transformations were, even though simple. It didn't take all day to transform. Also, that some were pretty closely scaled to Hot Wheels was another huge plus. According to the story book, Go-Bots were another race like us, and evolved into robots. I couldn't find any of the toys released, but here is a link to the picture from the first post www.superrobotmayhem.com/toys/bandai-returning-to-go-bots-toys/

Royal-T was amongst my favorites, a harrier jet. Jeeper-Creeper and Tank because they had guns. Maybe if all the Go-Bots had guns they'd be liked better.
With Go-Bots kids could buy the main characters (even if the toon was awful) cheaply, with Transformers the cooler characters were more expensive.

Those are awesome Bravo! I had the tank and Jeeper-Creeper too :-)
What I always liked the most about Go-Bots were the robot heads/faces.
I remember it took me a long time to find Scooter, and I really wanted the main characters.
My other favorites (going back to see what there was)
Blaster (Orange)
Spoons (Forklift)
Small Foot (Pick Up Truck)
Hans-Cuff (the cop car) I got lots of use chasing my knock-off Dukes of Hazard Hot Wheels General Lee.
I liked when they made alternate versions too.
Leader-One in blue
Cy-Kill in green
Crasher in white

Most of those I had, except the alt color schemes. I was aware of white Crasher, not sure if I was aware of the other two.
The very last Gobot I got at retail was one of the monster combiners/puzzlers. Never got the others.
The handful of Gobots I have now include Pathfinder the female UFO and Leader-1 somewhere, Tracks, the super gobot big rig I never had as a kid and the Super Gobot version of the green monster (only had the small version as a kid, which is broken/missing a piece and another one of the original wave of super gobots cars.

I had alt and regular Leader One's. They were cool.
However, I only had black Crasher and regular Cy-Kill, not the alt versions.
Some of the others I remember having
Dive-Dive (The Submarine) Tux (Rolls Royce) He's got a top-hat, lol. Super Go-Bots Psycho...I hated the robot mode, but thought it was really neat they had little figures in the car. Fitor was pretty cool...another jet. Loco (the train) looked way cooler than Astro-Train. Dumper (dump truck)...yeah, the construction vehicles are painted orange...not like stupid green constructicons (I have only ever seen one neon green painted construction vehicle in my life). Dozer (orange bull dozer) Crane-Brain (Orange crane) Screw-Head makes a good villain. Spay-C (space shuttle) was pretty neat, again way cooler than purple Astro-Train. Royal-T a very cool jet, but I still preferred Leader One. Road Ranger (Go-Bot Optimus Prime). Slicks is a really good looking race car. Vamp, evil looking villain.
I didn't have Pathfinder, but it's clear where Transformers got the idea for Cosmos.

Blaster had a variant too with green arms, mine was all yellow.
I had bootleg knock offs of Dive-Dive, is was grey...lesser quality. Tux, funny one. Fitor, I felt like he was Cy-Kill's right hand robot. Loco, legit and bootleg the quality difference was obvious Dumper Dozer Crane-Brain Screw Head, I liked him. Spay-C, couldn't have kids...he was Spayed. I think had a genuine and bootleg of him. Road Ranger, I never really made the Optimus connection as a kid. I think Slicks was another I only had a bootleg of. It was all yellow. Night Ranger...sister christian...lol...another I only had bootleg of, it was red. Good Knight Scratch Small Foot Flip-Top (blue copter, another one i liked) Stallion, was he Italian? Fly Trap, one I forgot Zero, the japanese zero fighter Scorp 2 versions of Creepy.
From what I recall, I had all of series 1 Friendly and Enemies. Not sure about series 2. After that, hit and miss.

KNEEL BEFORE ZOD! (funnier I just watched an episode of Young Justice with General Zodd in it)
Rampaging battery operated Tonka robot monster to attack quasi-fragile Japanese toys.
I had him the GOBOT Command Center and Thruster. Thruster's biggest flaw was the battery chamber/feature took up a good chunk of the inside. The chair that only Cy-Kill could use.
I had a lot of Gobots, I guess. And knock-offs but my older brother was the Transformers buyer for the most part, well the first two years, after that...he was getting out toys.

Thruster, WOW! :-)
Thruster was better than the Command Center because it didn't look like a dog.
Kind of cool about Cy-Kills chair.
I do remember finally getting Scooter towards the end of the run.
I was so happy, lol. That stupid little scooter, the same size as Leader One, lol.
And I pretended Fitor was Cop-Tur.

It's because Cy-Kill was like the only Gobot with knee joints.
The Commander Center could be a poor kid's AT-AT. IIRC, it was much cheaper than an AT-AT.
Had two Scooters, couldn't transf...change the first one, my father tried and broke him in two. If ever a character deserved it. But later I got a second one. And figured it out. His vehicle mode was almost 3 3/4" scale.
Had just one of the "power suit" combiner things, just one piece. My brother thought it was a dumb use of allowance money. He was right. I mean, you just stand up a Gobot inside. Wow. Without the other 4 parts it's a nothing burger.

I feel your combiner pain, lol.
Only combiners I had growing up were the TF's contructicons Hook and Scavenger... head and a leg.
I would have had no problem using the Command Center as an AT-AT.
Looking at some of the modern Machine Robo stuff, I may have to start a new collection.
Knowing that Hasbro crushed the Go-Bots line, I kind of see Transformers the Movie... the destruction of autobot city as death of the Go-Bots now :-(
