Saw it today. It was okay entertainment. A lot of the action sequences were the modern style of being too hard to follow. It makes me feel old.
Yes, the Beastie Boy's Sabotage is in the movie itself. (It's in an absurd way)
The villains motivations sucked, but I can't remember the last movie Trek villain that was decent....The Borg Queen? Even she was a cheat on the Borg single mind concept.
There's some okay character moments, if you like the new cast. I've warmed up to Pine's Kirk a bit more (he's finally past the "trying to prove himself to everyone" stage), but Karl Urban feels like a parody as McCoy and Quinto's Spock lacks the innate wisdom that Nimoy's had.
5 or 6 out of 10.
