My first responses: Holy crap, what got into FUNKO? They're making some decent stuff now? Their Game of Thrones line looks....really pretty good! Good job Funko. Funko linkHasbro Transformers: Most of the stuff is always aimed at the new generations of kids, and looks it, but what the hell? They're bringing back Headmasters and Powermasters...and they look good too. Wheelie and Blurr in their 1986 movie styles too. That's nothing though. They're making Fortress Maximuss, he's extremely articulated now, and will be the largest Transformer they've ever made. I'm pretty selective with my Transformer purchases these days, (I like Dinobots and Soundwave, but I make exceptions here and there...) This is stuff I will probably pass on, but it does look pretty cool. Transformers linkHasbro Star Wars: Those articulated figures look great, and they're doing Darth Revan? Awesome...oh wait, it's just for the 6" black series, that sucks. What about the 3.75" figures? Just the shitty 5 point articulation? Oh joy. Still, it's kind of cool to be able to get a good sized figure that's articulated and looks good. Will have to see the final product though. The 6" black series has yet to "WOW" me. I basically just see a collection I already have in a larger scale that won't work for most vehicles. Star Wars linkHasbros Marvel figures look good! I hate that Disney owns Marvel too though. They own it all now and can control & manipulate your childhood as they see fit. It's weird WB owns Avengers or X-men (I can never remember which), so they won't have the teams in a movie together. Screw you major corporations. Your favorite Super heroes, they refuse to cooperate together because teamwork doesn't pay the bills kids. But who cares, the toys look great! For some reason, I don't really collect Super Hero toys. It's weird because I feel like I should, I'm a fan of a lot of the movies, tv shows, comics and like the toys...but I just don't. Maybe you just have to draw a line in the sand somewhere, and this is my line. If I pick up anything it'll be for customz. Marvel linkDC collectibles has a kickass animated Bat-Wing plane that looks epic. Always liked the animated Batman figures, even the cartoon, but yeah, it crosses that line for me. I may cross over one of these days. DC linkApparently Storm Collectibles wants to bring you the coolest 6" Mortal Kombat figures you ever seen...but they won't have the license yet. Still, the figures look cool. They're the versions from the first game. I hope they get the license, It's the first time I've seen the figures look right...in any scale. Mortal Kombat link Mattel....says they might be fixing the ankle issue with He-Man....you guys need to step up your game. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. YO Adrian! Neca is making some Rocky figures, that's cool, but they're making Clubber Lang (AKA Mr. "T") too I've wanted a good Mr. "T" figure for a long time. I'd prefer a version that was reminiscent of the cartoon and the cereal boxes, so I may still have to customize my own. NECA link

Painted versions of those 3 3/4" MOTU figures from last year. Still skimpy on the accessories, and it bugs me that Mer-Man is "Skeletor's Ocean Warrior" when we all know he's "Evil Ocean Warlord". I'm sort of amused by them, but the translation did not work out well...heads are big and they should have more pumped up torsos. The card art makes them look bad by comparison, too. Not that it matters, because they'll be too overpriced for me to care. Super 7's 3 3/4" Masters of the UniverseFunko power loader and Alien queen. Amusing, but the queen's too cartoony...again...they over simplify and make stuff less Kenner and more like something from a animated show that never existed. Star Wars...at least they are still making REBELS cartoon characters. Too bad the articulation stinks. Supposedly the Wal-Mart 3.75" black series will continue, but it's just a trickle of Force Awakens characters. Oh, besides a battle pack (only way to get Maz Kanata it seems), no new Force Awakens figures shown, WHere's Luke and Leia? I'd already read that ROGUE ONE stuff wasn't gonna be shown (German Toy Fair reports mentioned a new Nerf-shooting AT-AT and a villain that looked like Thrawn but without blue skin). Some 6-inch collectors are annoyed by the soft goods on Luke and Leia. Will they ever make Lando? I mean, AT-AT Driver? Cool design, but had no interaction with any existing 6" characters. GI JOE is still dead besides exclusives. Masters of the Universe Masters of the Universe at Toy FairHorde Trooper is back. And some other Horde guy...General Sunder. Horde Sorcerer from the 200X cartoon. Evil She-Ra "Despara", a concept I dislike. Roton with weird animal skull figure. Skelcon is who it is, apparently an "army builder" from the 80's Lady Bird-produced story books that will come with Roton and that's already annoying people. Night Stalker...I had the original...annoyed me it was unposeable. Cartoon Clawful! Tuskador...wow...still going with the New Adventures stuff.

GI JOE is still dead besides exclusives. I think they're going to bring it back with a combination of Transformers and MASK. Masters of the Universe Horde Trooper is back. And some other Horde guy...General Sunder. Horde Sorcerer from the 200X cartoon. Evil She-Ra "Despara", a concept I dislike. I still need Horde Troopers, so thats cool...I'm not crazy about them like most of the other fans though. I always thought they were too much like Storm Troopers, and I preferred actual characters. Still do. The Horde Wraith is okay. I just want an accurate filmation Hordak, until then, whatever. I'm not sure where Despara originated from, probably the mini-comics, I also dislike the idea, and I'm not into the figure. It's a little too creepy for me personally. However, when She-Ra was first introduced in the cartoon, she was working for the Horde, believing she the rebellion were the bad guys until He-man set her straight. Roton with weird animal skull figure. Skelcon is who it is, apparently an "army builder" from the 80's Lady Bird-produced story books that will come with Roton and that's already annoying people. Night Stalker...I had the original...annoyed me it was unposeable. I don't really care about this stuff. This is pretty cool. A lot of fans really want this, I prefer the version they already made, but I get the fans desire to have this one. Tuskador...wow...still going with the New Adventures stuff. This is the stuff I have no idea about. Don't really care to either. If the figures look good, I might get them, if not, easy pass. You forgot ANTI-He-Man! The most powerful man in the Anti-Universe! AKA all black He-Man with red hair and red details. I like him. He's based on some German knock-off back in the day. I REALLY hope they fix filmation He-Man, at least fix the ankle issue for Filmation Skeletor and Beastman before their releases. I like the comic version of Beast-Man they're making (all red), I always preferred this look as a kid. As an adult I prefer the filmation style. Funny huh? The Comic version of Green Granamyr looks good in these pics. Filmation Trapjaw and Evil Lynn look good too. I also like Mattels Thundercats preview. I didn't want these initially. I mean, I can honestly say I'm not a die hard Thundercats fan, even though I enjoyed it as a kid for a bit. But I do like how the new figures look. I have a soft spot for Panthro, Cheetara, Pumyra, and Bengali. Well see, it might be a good time to collect Thundercats.

That all-red Beastman is some con exclusive, along with green Granamyr and the clawed camo Kobra Khan.
Surprised no slime pit "monster" He-Man yet.
LOL. I don't own any MOTUC...it's just an interesting line to watch.
Apparently they are saying there will be no GI JOE stuff this year at Toys R Us, but will be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. So how ill the fan's choice winner get released...as part of that? That would be kinda insulting.

I'll probably end up selling all my toys at some point, (probably sooner than later) but keep my customz. I get absorbed into stuff, but then it becomes clear that this shit has zero relevance to my actual life, and it becomes depressing. I'm never going to fly a spaceship, so collecting them (Star Wars) is kind of stupid. I'm never going to fight off evil (or good) forces with a lightsaber, so this is kind of silly. I'm never going to own fancy cars, so buying toys of robots that transform into them doesn't make any sense (dinobots and cassette players are cool though!). I'm not going to go back in time and live in the age of the barbarian and vikings, so collecting that stuff (He-Man) is just silly. I'm never going to be in the military, so G.I. JOE is out. Basically, toys are just a reminder of all my shattered dreams and totally depressing. Then the financial burden, this stuff does cost money, and it's long term value, probably isn't so great. Then there's the environmental impact, this shit fucks up the planet, it doesn't help in anyway. It's wasteful of nonrenewable resources. Then there's the factories in China that these are made in, people working in horrible conditions just to make our fucking toys that we complain about. On the other hand, it's fun to fantasize

China's labor conditions are getting better, which is why production costs are rising.
Toys get depressing to me, when I think of my old stuff in storage over 1000 miles away that I have seen in over ten years now. Building it's in probably gets worse every year, but I have no where to move it to. Failed in life. Why am I still acquiring stuff?

You are not a failure Bravo! We're in an age where there's a consciousness shift happening, and people are figuring out what makes them truly happy, or discovering enlightenment. It's not working in a cubicle forty hours a week, or having a drill instructor bark orders at you, or saying "would you like frys with that?". You are one of the funniest guys I've ever met, I'm surprised you don't try stand up comedy actually And being able to crack jokes and laughing is a huge part of happiness. I say you are quite the opposite of a failure and one of the few people thinking in the right direction. Don't give up my man! I also believe things happen for a reason. You being separated from your stuff is meant for you to help discover your lifes purpose. Like in Fight Club when Tyler Durdent blows up the narrators apartment. He couldn't be free on his own, he needed help, and so an outside "Force" intervened. I know that sounds like a bunch of hippy mumbo jumbo, but I've been in a similar situation bro. I don't actually think happiness/enlightenment is from toys or a partner or a typical job. It's discovering your lifes purpose and focusing on that. Everything else in your life should flow in that direction. For me, I think its making good bread...I like doing it, it makes me happy. I also love my dog. And I'm still into the whole Natural Building thing...I think that most of the stuff I collect doesn't really flow with my lifestyle. Transformers, Star Wars, G.I. JOE...99% of that stuff is in storage bins right now. So, a 1000 miles a way or not, it's still closed off from me. I can see myself putting MOTU figures in the Natural environment though, displaying and leaving some of them outdoors even. It also shouldn't take up too much space, (I believe a toy collection should flow in your home and not look like clutter) and since there's hardly any vehicles and just figures, it works really well. Basically my gnome collection for the garden I'm also following Swindles philosophy a little bit and "Just collecting what I want," these days And if stuff is just sitting in a bin...I think it's time to sell it. So yeah, I'll probably part with my G.I. JOEs and Star Wars, maybe Transformers too. When toys are MOC, in a case, or a glass display, or a storage bin, it's not cool. Not to me anyway. It's just not fun. That tells me, it's time to let it go. I know you collect a lot of loose and used stuff, and I think you make it work in a really fun way. Anyway, there's a pretty cool movie on Netflix called "TURBO KID", it rocks, I think it will cheer you up, Michael Ironsides even in it! It's like Mad Max...on bicycles! With sort of a little Napoleon Dynamite thrown it.

Thanks, Felix. Too kind. I do like good bread. "Just collecting what I want," is great, if you can find it at a decent price. I'm annoyed I got Mosep from the star wars cantina for $13 at Wal-Mart, then Amazon lowers his price to like $7. Oh, well. I've mostly learned to live without and Hasbro's made that easy by years of bad distribution and saying "Screw you" to fans of articulated 4" figures. Oh, those Power Con He-Man exclusives can be gotten via Big Bad Toy Store. I guess. Power Con Excusive PreordersMattel has a unrevealed Tundercats SDCC exclusive that will be a must have for fans. So they are sinking that line into Exclusive Hell early.

Bravo, I don't mean to brag, but I make REALLY good bread Handmade, organic ingredients (means we have to get our flour from Canada, crazy huh?). It's a beautiful thing. I just started working at my local bakery to get a job at a cool place to work (heard good things). I was just the dishwasher and closing janitor, and fine with that. I actually became an owner and a bread baker from choosing to do that work. Never saw that coming. It's all about finding what you really want, and being happy with what your doing. Don't settle for anything less. For most people, washing dishes and scrubbing toilets would seem like settling for less. But its a cool place, nobody yells at you about your job, even when they asked me to be a baker, I didn't really want to do it, because I was happy where I was at I almost always find a better deal AFTER I buy something. Thats the way it goes in the digital age. Don't beat yourself up about it. I don't want to get too absorbed into He-Man, part of me hopes they don't fix the ankles so I won't collect the line anymore
