Daredevil on Netflix

This is a pretty darn good series. If you haven't seen it, I don't want to spoil anything for you. There's two seasons available now.

Anyway, the TV series is pretty cool. The show is violent and graphic. People die. There's gore. And for the most part, Daredevil doesn't want to kill anyone, if he can help it. What pulled me in is they explain his origin, as a kid. His training with "Stick" and more.

I've always loved that this character doesn't have real super powers, it's from having a "handicap" or "disability" that's made him tougher.

I feel like the series does the character and the comic justice.

Season 2 has the Punisher in it. There's some really good parts I don't want to spoil, but it's worth a watch if you have a chance.

I'm zero episodes into season nada. I'm not paying for a tv series. LOL. Kills me the new Trek series will be pay service.

I don't know if watching tv/movies on streaming free sites is legal or not (when it comes to watching TV on the internet). I know they want it to be illegal, but I think it's not (please don't take my advice as fact here). I've read articles with lawyers arguing the hell out of it. On one hand, if you see something streaming, you aren't downloading it. On the other, a judge could say you viewed the content, and call it illegal. Then there's the possibility of anyone could be using your ISP to watch tv/movies without you knowing it.

I support TV shows and movies I like, so I don't mind paying for that. But I've had a hard time being able to find a way to watch, and streaming has just been the easiest way to do it. It's gotten easier over the last few years though, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, even HBO is finally getting with the program.

I've decided to give this series a rewatch. Thought it would be fun, it's been a while, and I haven't seen it since watching the Punisher series.

Season 1: Epic. I feel like every episode is good. A friend of mine said she hated his black mask home made costume, she thought it looked stupid...I am on the opposite side of the fence, I love it. Kingpin is the best villain, but all of the bad guys do a good job. I actually care about and enjoy Matt Murdocks' sidekicks, Floggy, Kate, Stick...I particularry enjoy the flashback scenes to Daredevils childhood.

Season 2: Just started, but it's great...really great. This is where the Punisher shows up.
The bottom line is that the series feels like the comic books came to life. I know the series is cancelled along with the Punisher, but that's okay...I also consider it a good thing. Daredevil getting abandoned keeps there from being a chance it gets ruined. Sure, it can be rebooted...but this series gets to rest in peace knowing it's the best version of Daredevil that will ever be.
