They wanted to do that with the prequels, not gonna happen. Once it's made in film, it's immortalized. Why Lucas tried so hard to get rid of the Holiday Special :-)
I either like the movies or I don't like them, I refuse to let them have POWER over me, they are just movies :-)
People have made them out to be more than that to themselves because they are looking for deeper meaning to their lives.
I actually can thank Star Wars, Lucas and Disney, because even though the movies are not how I want them to be, I realize that if I want something better, I need to get off my butt and create it, and make it happen. Fans do this all the time with fan films, fan fiction, ect.
As long as you hold onto someone elses dream, you will always be disappointed when it takes you where you don't want to go.
I used to love writing, I've often thought about getting back into it, especially lately. Not because I didn't like the last Star Wars movie, I just want to have my own impact on the world. Doesn't matter how small or big that is. I used to want to do it musically, but that's something I don't practice. Who knows, maybe I'll still do both :-) I believe in infinite possibilities now.
Just look at Harry Potter. That was like some lady just doing kids stories for her kids or something. That was a big or bigger than Star Wars, at least for a while.
I'm not sure what I want to do yet, but I want to do more :-)

So, there's already another trilogy in the works...along with the Han Solo Film and Episode 9. Looks like Disney is ready to cast aside the originals, prequels and sequels and do the old reboot the franchise plan. Who knows, they may still make Star Wars great again.

It's gonna be unconnected to the Skywalkers, but that's all that's been said. It won't be OLD REPUBLIC, either, according to Rian Johnson.
Supposedly there's an Obi-Wan movie...I think. Only worthwhile if Ewan McGregor comes back. I'm not sure what it could be about, though.

There's really infinite possibilities when it comes to Star Wars stories. Disney nailed it, (even if I don't like the movies) they already made more money just from the films than what they paid for the Star Wars license.
