Quick Kick is a horrible lead. Although, him doing community outreach is probably for the best. While other Joes deal with real issues. LOL.
Gung-Ho on a covert mission. I did like seeing him punch a snake while he's on the run. The laser whips Cobra troops use is fun.
Baroness as Lady Jaye, at one point, we get to see Lady Jaye animated with an evil look on her face. That's neat.
The end of the episode has Quick Kick going after Baroness/Destro/Cobra Commander in copters. You don't often see Cobra Commander involved in actual action. Destro takes charge of the defensive tactics. They managed to escape in Fangs when Skystrikers show up. How is that possible? LOL.
Cobra Commander's paranoid response to Destro, "Everyone is against me." Great stuff. Cobra Commander's insanity lifts this episode. Also, he must be a good artist to draw his hood on the moon.

I barely remember anything about this one...I definitely remember the moon, and the laser whips, those are cool.
It is kind of funny that the plot is to carve Cobra Commander's face into the moon :-)
I do remember Quick Kick getting the spotlight in a few episodes. Not sure if this is the one, but he has the romance with the civilian karate girl who wants to be a G.I.JOE one day, that's the one I remember most.

The Tick hada similar storyline about writing on the moon.
I don't rewatch Lasers in the Night much.
The burning electronic lab kinda looks like a Star Wars Turbo Tank!
Alice, the lesbian green shirt technician (IIRC, some writer implied she was.)
The female cobra lab coat tech. Forgotten her.
Who is the guy with the mustache the Duke's voice actor voice? Pre-Dialtone? Post-Sparks?
Accidental inclusion of a blue masked Cobra officer. Officers once again being used a security along with CG's.
I recall the RHINO series release had an interview with writer Marv Wolfman and he so proud of this episode. LOL. Yeah, he was a major comics writer, but this wasn't his best work. Adding Amber and her red-head friend Sandy to the GI JOE universe. Yay. She snores, too. Ultimately the problem is a non-toy guest star who gets more usage than some joes do and never appears again. She's arguably a Mary Sue, able to sneak into Joe base, onto Snake Island, chop chain links that Gung-Ho cannot break and Duke would love to have her on the team and everyone YO JOES at the end.

Then again, at least she sees how intense actually being a GIJoe would be if she did sign up. In my opinion, the best one-off guest star is the father/husband who wanted revenge on Cobra. He had a beef and it showed the damage Cobra can cause. Amber is just a silly college girl and doesn't offer much insight into Quick Kick or the GIJoe/Cobra conflict.
This episode is probably one of my least favorites.

LOL! I had forgotten about RodZD's harsh opinions. I totally forgot he hated Quick Kick. The problem with him in the cartoon, he peaked with him teaming up with Alpine and Bazooka in the mini-series, PoD. And this episode is one of the lesser efforts, but I do think the Cobra stuff is pretty neat.

Nice digging that up, Felix. Rod was harsh LOL. That ending bit.
Rod doesn't address the mustached mystery Joe, though. Bummer.
