I always felt that Top Gun was about Ace and the Skystriker :-)
This trailer looks like it is the same movie, but Maverick has taken Vipers role...he was the older guy training the pilots in the original.
Anyway, this brought back that loving feeling :-)
Only movie I liked Tom Cruise in...and Legend.

Its been along time since I saw Top Gun. Tom Cruise keeps on with his action roles. I give him credit because Hollywood is in a tricky place right now, but he keeps on. I'd need to rewatch the original because my memory of it is iffy. But this looks like it might be good.

I'm laughing at Tom pushing 60 and the trailer implying that he's an active duty fighter pilot. But it might be good. Tom usually chooses good projects, except that Mummy remake.

This was probably filmed 5 years ago.
The slow piano version of the recognizable theme song...such a cliche.
Admiral Iceman would be CG if he appears in person. Val Kilmer cannot even speak anymore.

Yeah, what's in the preview is probably all we will see of Val...a picture on the wall.
On a side note, I watched a Tom Cruise movie recently that was pretty good called, "American Made". Based on a true story about a pilot smuggling for the CIA and the Cartels.
