Destro gets the nod over Cobra Commander in wave one.

It makes sense to spread out desirable characters, what's more surprising only one villain, no troope builder and the the lack of Storm Shadow. I definitely would've had a trooper in the first wave and to be honest, if I were in charge I wouldn't put even a poplular minority character and a popular female in the same wave or at least not the first wave. I feel those are more likely to linger if shipped in decent amounts and first waves tend to glut if they actually make it to physical retail.

Yeah, I'd cut Roadblock definitely in favor of the Cobra Trooper at least. That makes sense. They always try to prop Rockblock as if he's an A-Lister, but I always thought he was actually B-List.

I don't think I will be collecting this. I don't like most of the newer figures. Don't need larger versions of them. Will they be based on comic, cartoon, card art?

I'd assume they'd be their classic looks because all GIJoe has going for it now is nostalgia. LOL
Snake Eyes is interesting, original or 85 w/ Timber?

I'd bet 1985 if these are classic.
There's a mobile ap game out and talk of Jazwares working with Hasbro on GI JOE. Makes me think there'll be a line of more cartoony looking figures as well as collector aimed ones.

I kind of hope these are successful, if only to get a bunch of the idiots out of the 3 3/4" game. What can I say, I'm a jerk.
On the topic of Roadblock, he's strangely popular, specifically in his v1 form, or at least he appears to be. I base a lot of this on how any '84 Roadblock picture I post on instagram, gets more likes than a lot of my other pictures, and the extra likes tend to come from obviously non-Joe collectors.

LOL, Johnny. Hope for your best interests. heh
If/When Lady Jaye/Flint show up, then this line will interest me. One thing I will say, seems like a lot of toylines are doing well in this scale, sooo....

toynewsi.com/9-35647First leaked figure. This is (maybe be?) the SDCC exclusive Snake Eyes with extra accessories. The retail version will have fewer weapons and may even be a different sculpt that's closer to the original ARAH style? Guess we'll see the rest Friday.

Meh. I don't collect 6 inch and the $20 per figure is not in my budget.

I doubt the retail one is going to be much closer to the original ARAH style figure. The box back shows all sorts of terrible pseudo modern designs that Hasbro was pimping in 2011, the Destro on that box looks like a combo of 2002 JvC and Sigma Six

Modern look for Snake Eyes sucks. This is probably what to expect in the live action movie.

Yeah, I'm with you Johnny. It looks like an un-inspired rehash of Sigma Six. I do wanna see what the Scarlet figure looks like, though. I might get her for display if its decent. Can't imagine being interested in Duke/Snake Eyes/Roadblock.

Yep, definitely not retro. The exclusive Snake Eye's pre-order is 39.99. I'm iffy if I really want that Scarlett or not.
