I remember when he started getting heat over that stuff, listening to Jim Cornette's podcast, he actually thought he served. I did too, actually!
It's a great fictional character/wrestling persona, but trying to maintain kayfabe in a way that's going to piss off people who did serve, yeah, dumb thing to do.

There's articles from the 80s discussing how his publicist wouldn't answer questions on him serving, and there being a lot of questions about him actually serving.
It was going to be a "GREAT MOMENT IN G.I. JOE HISTORY" on my blog, but Sgt. Slaughter's pretty cool on twitter, so I'm not going to slam the guy or anything.

I hate to spoil the party for those guys, but pro-wrestling isn't real either :-)

Six inch figures will even less articulation and weapons probably molded to hands! And why Baroness? I get she was in the Snake-Eyes movie, but a female villain in a value line aimed at kids? Also. they chose 3 figures known for wearing mostly black, so I guess that's why Baroness gets the blues this time.

Destro looks like a kid in a Destro mask. Very bad looking. LOL

There will be a Hasbro Pulse Stream on the 21st, imagine Joe reveals will be Dusty, Tomax/Xamot, Zarana and perhaps some of the retro card stuff.

Will any of it be actual mass retail waves? This line is two years old and there's been like 3 mass retail waves and 1 movie wave, right?

I live in Canada, so I'm not sure if it's the same, but everywhere that sells 6 inch Joe figures here, has been sitting on them. The Toys R Us has like a dozen of the Baroness with motorcycle thing, and a peg full of COBRA Island Roadblock, Lady Jaye and Flint. Prior to those two clogging the shelves it was Gung Ho.

I'm wondering if my previous assessment wasn't true, that 6-inch GI JOE wouldn't last past the few main characters/troopers that people (mostly casual fans who like 6 inch scale) have to have. What we have here isn't a drawn out success but a delayed failure kept afloat by some amount of artificially induced scarcity. Hasbro can convince people via collecting hype that GI JOE isn't a shit brand anymore, despite two movies in a row flopping and toys with zero interest from any one under the age of 25.

A dead on arrival movie, a budget video game, comics only the hardcores of hardcores by.
Seems fairly easy to get figs in the line... now. I have no idea what the real success of it is. FOMO is real. I also think the standard 6 inch scale helps (oh I want Spider-Man, Batman and Snake Eyes hanging out with one another).
What characters that matter are missing from Classified? Dreadknoks/Zandar, Dr. Mindbender, Serpentor. Scrap Iron. I think that covers all the characters to 86. Depending on what you say matters for Joe, I'd go with Shipwreck, Cover Girl, Jinx (the other 'lead' in Sunbow and the two missing female figs).

Renders are the 'reveals' So, the held off Zarana and Dusty. And accessories and packaging... Retros: Baroness - Black on black, black armor pieces will be shinny Lady Jaye - 80s look, complete with make up Destro - Sunbow inspired supposedly Gung-Ho - the version people wanted from the beginning, supposedly the vest is new

They share a new mold, but the pieces to make them mirror will be for one another (same deal as 25th comic two pack figs, I believe). I do like their weaselly faces.

Milking those repaints and redecos.
The 50th modern era Viper officer isn't that interesting. Also it's the 40th anniversary of ARAH, then shouldn't it be an a Cobra officer and trooper set?
