Yeah, I don't know. The Rattler is pretty wide, we'll see. I'm probably outpriced regardless at this point. LOL

Agreed. I made sure as a kid, to always put my allowance towards collecting the figures.
Half the time I got a vehicle I felt like I got ripped off too.
Battle Force 2000 Pulverizer, yes I am looking at you.

The construct a fortress type deal with the vehicles always felt like the GIJoe version of a Transformer combiner. But Destro's army and vehicles in 1988 were much cooler than Battle Force 2000. That sub group aways reminded me of an off brand that'd last for 10 episodes on tv and never been seen from again.

I think they would have been part of a five part episode, and never used or seen again anywhere in the series. That fortress sucked. The parts didn't even snap into place. I liked Recoil for a very brief period, so after seeing the box art, I felt I had to get the Pulverizer... The Pulverizer was the straw that broke BF2000's back. I was quite a fan of those guys, even liked Dee Jay, and Recoil seemed BF 2000 worthy...the box art made him look like he could be part of the team. But the Pulverizer even ruined Recoil for me too.

I didn't know anyone could hate the Pulverizer so much. The rail gun idea was very futuristic, but the blue accordion piece thing was just...mine didn't stay plugged into the body and there was no way to get it to. The guy who came with BF 2000 said the original premise were the vehicle parts would attach to a separate playset, but Hasbro decided not to do that. See that's when things go astray, when they are cut by budgets and/or a whole element is removed. I kind of wonder if BF 2000 wasn't a Hasbro response to Spiral Zone and StarCom from their competitors. Funny thing about the Iron Grenadiers, both the DEMON and AGP began as GI JOE concept art but where changed in the creative process.

Yeah, it was the accordion. And for some reason, after 1985, Hasbro thought most of the Joe's operating ground vehicles needed absolutely zero protection from snipers, I.E. the Havoc, Slaughters Triple TTT, ect.
I kind of thought their name BF2000, implied they time travelled from the future. Basically like John Connor or Cable from X-Men.
Had no idea there was a playset they were supposed to connect to, which makes a lot more sense.
I didn't think Destro really needed a Demon tank. If he is making tanks for COBRA, it seemed to me he would probably use HISS tanks too.

Characters that never had anything to do with each other in a two pack. Modernizing gear is one thing, but Falcon with shoulder armor and wearing a tin armada helmet...reduces him to a generic.

Falcon looks terrible.
You are supposed to stick the steel brigade helmet on and forget he has any individuality.

Drug rehab went well for Lt. Falcon after the Headmen got him hooked. He looks much better now.
I think the helmet more a Teela situation, you can have him as Falcon, or the SB helmet, an excuse to army build as troops (as they know some will do).

I had to pause and laugh when Cobra Commander revealed the first backer goal at 11,000 was patches? PATCHES? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' PATCHES!! 14,000 to get to an actual gunner. Well, big whoop, any Cobra can fill that role. 18,000 for Baroness. With helmet and 3 lace-front wigs as a one youtube guy called them on the crimson Baroness.

Overall, the Baroness is a nice repaint, but you can use any regular trooper or other Baroness as his gunner. Why is Wild Weasel so handsome? LOL

That looks sick.
Mark Hammil, not bad, better as the Joker, good as Skeletor. He should have gone off script for the patches...And stretched the ssss's out more. Probably needed the check.

Raptor has wolverines claws. I guess Storm Shadow was done with them. Why is Wild Weasel so handsome? LOL Cobra's version of Maverick, Top Gun...I always thought he was probably missing some teeth under there the way he spoke.
