*He's an expert cargo plane pilot and helicopter pilot.
*He always wears a beret.

Bruce Willis (Church) is Joe Colton.

Arnold Schwarzenegger (Trench) is Duke.

Jason Statham (Lee Christmas) is Starduster.

Terry Crews (Caesar) is Heavy Duty.

Jet Li (Yin Yang) is Quick Kick.

Micky Rourke (Tool) is Steam Roller.

Dolph Ludgren (Gunner) is Mercer. Buzz Dixon said Mercer was modeled after Dolph in the movie commentary! :-)

Steve Austin is Big Boa.

Eric Roberts as the CIA bad guy drug dealer is Headman.

General Garza is Darklon.


Expendables 2:

Chuck Norris (Booker) is Outback.

Nan Yu (Maggie) is Jinx.

Liam Hemsworth (Billy the Kid) is Spearhead.
His story about his dog getting shot, makes me think of Max.
He also gets killed with a large knife, and I can't help but think of the knife that comes with Spearhead.

Van Damme (Vilain) is Xamot.
He was supposed to have a twin brother...maybe in another sequel.

Scott Adkins (Hector) is Voltar.


Expendables 3:
Harrison Ford (Drummer) is Hawk...the original Adventure Man!

Wesley Snipes (Doc) is DOC!

Antonia Banderas (Galgo) is Zap.
*He speaks often about his former team members being the best there ever was :-)

Kellan Lutz (Smilee) is Dodger.
When Barney AKA Stallones character, talks to him about losing his buddies, can't help but think of Battle Force 2000 getting killed.

Glen Powell (Thorn) is Lightfoot
I kind went with that because he uses a drone.

Ronda Rousey (Luna) is Covergirl.

Victor Ortiz (Mars) is Law.

Mel Gibson (Stonebanks) is .....Cobra Commander.
He is pretty insane and into setting traps for his enemies.
He also reminds me of a used car salesman the way he sells weapons.

Robert Davi is Scrap Iron.

Men of War: A 90's Dolph Lundgren movie about mercs, the late Tiny Lister is an eviler Roadblock in the movie. That woman from JAG is like Lady Jaye. They showed it a lot on some movie channel in the mid-late 90's.

WHITE HOUSE DOWN: Think of Tatum as "Duke", replace the terrorists with COBRA and you have a third GI JOE movie.

IRON EAGLE 3: have not seen in ages, but IIRC, it's like GI JOE teaming up with the Oktober Guard

Jack Bauer makes a good Hawk.
I go with this being his story before being asked by the President to organize the G.I.JOE team.
Also, the character that plays Zartan in "Rise of Cobra", plays a terrorist on the show who likes to disguise himself.

I vote Lifeline, because he doesn't use guns, except in like the very first episode when they were still fleshing out his character.
Also Lifeline's uniform matches Swiss Army Knife colors.

Armageddon: Two playsets are part of the plot, the Tactical Battle Platform and the Defiant.
The tactical battle platform is the oil rigg they are working on towards the first part of the movie.

Bruce Willis (Harry) is Duke. Yell, "YO JOE!" when he blows up the asteroid.
Ben Affleck (AJ) is Falcon.
Will Patton (Chick) is Shipwreck.
Owen Wilson (Oscar) is Sci-Fi.
Steve Buscemi (Rockhoud) is Dial-Tone.
Michael Clark Duncan (Bear) is Roadblock. R.I.P. sir.
The Russian is some Oktober Guard dude :-)
Ken Campbell (Max) is Cross Country.
Billy Bob Thorman (Truman) is Joe Colton.
Keith David (General Kimsey) is Stalker.
Jessica Steen the female pilot is Melisa Fairborne
William Fitchner (Colonel Willie Sharpe) Countdown...because of the whole, defuse the nuke part of the plot, lol.

'Wheelman' on Netflix is basically the guy from Grand Theft Auto III. And it's a pretty cool movie!

Also, Gone in 60 seconds is pretty much the best GTA story.

We've never mentioned Navy SEALS. I mean, Charlie Sheen's character is like Lt Falcon in the cartoon movie. Capable but an a-hole.

Graham seems like he could be Stalker or Iceberg.

The other guys could be Wet-Suit, Torpedo, Deep Six, Leatherneck.

The Narrator in Fight Club, is TMNT Casey Jones's back story.
There is a scene where the Narrator and Tyler play golf breaking windows.

I'm convinced MacGyver is Hawk. Although Action Man, Adventure Man, or just G.I.JOE would be acceptable.
I take back my previous suggestion of Lifeline. Similarities, but not quite. Although they both don't like guns, in Million Dollar Medic, Lifeline's girlfriend does give him a Swiss Army Knife as a gift, hmmmm.

If you go with MacGyver as Hawk, then Stargate is his Joe team. Hard to beat that.

Stargate is decent template for a GI JOE show. The main team, the general who rarely goes off base. The recurring tech and doctor characters.
