Despite all of my negative comments, I will say it has this one thing going for it...
Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow unmasked, are telling the world to stop wearing masks.
YO! JOE!

Until Law is sacrificed on the altar of history, we'll all wear masks.
Gee, who knew the establishment was fulfilling Destro family goals?

I really like Baroness' look. But my question is, why does Cobra care about Storm Shadow's clan here? What is Scarlett up to as well? Cobra Commander had a grudge in the comics which got it all tangled up in. Here, as you said, Felix, Snake Eyes is just fish boy.

No they don't.
Pushing critical race theory and masks, not my G.I.JOE.

They made a HUGE mistake. There's been a huge push for 80s nostalgia (See Stranger Things, Cobra Kai). They keep trying reimagine GIJoe on the big screen when they should have leaned into its 80s roots.
I have been saying the entire time, this Snake Eyes looks goofy without his mask. Feels like a stunt guy between takes. The appeal was always the mystery of the character. ITs all stripped away and for an actor who's no big star.

Someone should edit the movie to have Ray Park play Snake Eyes instead.

Someone should make a GI JOE movie that doesn't suck. Having heard spoilers... Snake-Eyes is a thief infiltrating the Arashikage to steal a magic rock for a criminal. The rock can disintegrate people. Yeah, gotta love that realism.

Feels like the Star Wars prequels/sequels...
you just know, no matter how hard you try to like it...
it's still going to suck.

That will probably be it for GIJoe as a movie property for quite some time. There is a rot when a property repeatedly fails.
You got the Lady Jaye deal... wonder if it will even get off the ground. Now, I love Lady Jaye. Think she's one of the greatest characters in GIJoe, but a series starring her isn't going to sit the world on fire. And the tv spy stuff has been done a zillion times. And the kicker is, do they cast even someone who can be a live action visual Lady Jaye? Or is its more woke 'improvements.'
Then you have some sort of cartoon. Nothing ever sticks with the animation, so that will come and go. They never recovered in animation by ending Sunbow GIJoe.

I look forward to more fans blaming fans. "You didn't support this movie. We should support GI JOE media, blah, blah. No wonder Hasbro won't blah-blah, it's because fans are cheap/fickle/manbabies/stuck in 1986." (Never mind many people, like me, won't go to cinemas due to never-ending pandemic.)
Supporting stuff you don't like gets you more stuff you won't like. STAR WARS DISNEY, people. SOLO flopping hit them where it hurts. Not enough to prevent the mess that was Rise of Skywalker, but...there was no salvaging the sequels.

Even if every member of HissTank, Facebook Joe groups, Discord groups all went, wouldn't even been a drop in an ocean. You have to tap into the movie going public who just wanna see a pop corn film.
