Sometimes I like to imagine if I only collected my favorite...or favorites from a line.
So, in an effort to create some positivity, what are your favorite('s) anything?
No rules. Maybe try to limit to three favorites per line? But again, no rules or judgements here. If you want to list every 1980's G.I.JOE as your favorites, that is totally fine.
Comics, Movies, Video Games, Music, nothing is off of the table here.
Goal is to just have fun with this.
And feel free to update or add to, or remove, from the list as often as you like. :-)
Anyway, here we go!
MY FAVORITES....
Starting with G.I.JOE Sgt. Slaughter and the Renegades are the top of my list still. I don't see that ever changing. *Note I already broke the max of three favorites!
COBRA #1 Cobra Commander chrome and hooded versions...Battle Armor CC is cool too. #2 Zartan #3 *Edit* Star Viper!
Transformers Decepticons = Soundwave and the cassette bots.
Autobots = Blaster and Cassette bots. *Edit* Shockwave is the #1 best Transformer of all time!
MOTU Good Guys He-Man Teela Ram Man
Bad Guys Skeletor Beastman *Edit* I forgot Faker!!!
POP She-Ra Bow Frosta
TMNT Raphael Splinter
Thundercats Lion-O Jaga Cheetara
Marvel Daredevil Old TV show Hulk/Bruce Banner
DC Wonder Woman
MOVIES They Live Conan the Barbarian Lord of the Rings Trilogy The Hobbit Trilogy
TV Shows Netflix Daredevil
I don't know, I will have to update later.

G.I.JOE Crazylegs Crankcase Dusty...maybe
COBRA Viper V1...often imitated, never duplicated Strato-Viper Lamprey V1
Transformers Decepticons = Shockwave was the most interesting, his raygun mode made him more alien and the single eye, too. Soundwave, I guess. I dunno, Laserbeak...the funny idea that the bad guys had evil animals who never spoke.
Autobots = Brawn because he was the first one I owned. Yellow Cliffjumper because I had him. And I guess...my brother's favorite Jetfire. (He was the transformer guy, not me)
MOTU Heroic Warriors: Stratos Man-At-Arms Mekaneck...funny how I own origins versions of none of them at present. I do have runner-up Fisto.
Bad Guys Mer-Man Webstor before his pack broke.
Grizzlor but on the darker version. Fine...Modulok.
TMNT Krang Rocksteady Splinter
Thundercats Tuska Warrior...the only toy I had was the small figures of him. Plus he's like Ponda Baba's race.
Marvel: Fantastic Four (60's cartoon) Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes (Best avengers toon)
DC: Wonder Woman (LYNDA CARTER 4 LIFE...actually I don't dislike Gal Gadot) Batman (ADAM WEST) Superman The Animated Series, the first time I really like Supes.
MOVIES The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Star Wars...an obscure 70's movie. (Too indecisive for a third)
TV Shows: Nowhere Man (You might like that one Felix, it's paranoid to the max! It was UPN attempt to make an X-Files, but with conspiracy stuff, not aliens and paranormal. Starred Bruce Greenwood, lasted one season...sadly.) The Simpsons (No matter how much of it sucks now)
I dunno what else, I mentioned Batman and Wonder Woman, but in honesty, WW was just a watchable show with a gorgeous lead and Batman's third season was cheap and had its worst eps...even Batgirl can't totally redeem it. All the Trek series had their ups and downs.

My Viper vs 1, saw a lot of action. He should have earned some medals. Very good figure.
I forgot STRATO-VIPER AHHHHH!!!! Good choice Bravo!
And I'll give Nowhere Man a shot!
I did like shows like the Outer Limits and War of the Worlds growing up. Married with Children was a favorite, but kind of became a repeat of itself every weak. Can't watch any Simpsons anymore, I don't know why...probably just saw too many episodes and got burnt. MacGyver was cool. I liked a hero that didn't use guns, even though he totally uses an AK-47 in the first episode and opening theme ;-) He just "hates" guns ;-)
Transformers: Shockwave is awesome. Might be the best Transformer ever...will have to update the list later :-)
I do love almost every Clint Eastwood western. Outlaw Josey Whales, High Plains Drifter, Unforgiven, the Dollars trilogy...The Good the Bad and the Ugly though for Tuco. Clint has so many great lines in those movies. Fun fact, in A Fistfull of Dollars, Clint brought used his pistol from the TV series, Rawhide, that he starred in.
Wonder Woman's opening tv sequence was outstanding. Linda Carter was gorgeous. And she looked like the real deal. Gadot is pretty good too, but she didn't do the bathing suit bottom with stars. Details are important. I loved the tv episode with the aliens, Johnny Lawrence from the Karate Kid gets put under mind control. I remember getting a Wonder Woman doll as a kid, but then hiding it somewhere when I had a friend over...the moment I realized I owned an actual doll, I didn't want the other kids at school to know.
Star Trek, about the only thing I ever liked was the Borg as an enemy. I really only watched TNG for Diana Troi. Warf always looked like he probably had a headache, and it bugged me. And I knew Geordi had to have a hard time seeing with his visor. Space stuff, yuck.

X-Men Jean Grey - just because she is at the center of so many soap opara elements of X-Men Jubilee - a 90s pop culture machine and good pov character Rogue - hot powerhouse and the no touching deal creates more desire lol
GIJoe
Shipwreck Lady Jaye - probably my first childhood toon crush? Mercer - at the moment the flipping sides stuff always works well in media
Transformers
Starscream - great scumbag in many media Stuntacons - This combiner group is the one I owned a kid, so I do have a connection to them, also the wreckless driving always cracked me up Swindle - Him being a sleazy guy, obviously my name sake now, back in Rob Z's board, I just went by Mark lol
Motu/PoP Faction - Horde, visually more interesting than any other Character - Adora, there's something quite relatiable to her in her regular form and never play acting like Adam did Toy - Scareglow, for being the last vintage toy I ever bought, glad he's gotten some shine in media recently
Turtles April - my other cartoon crush, full figured, sexy, and they didn't shy away from fan service with her Turtle - Donatello, the number of times he saved everyone else because of his smarts is too many to count/name, also had the longest weapon in games lol
DC Batgirl - interesting Babs doesn't have the tragic story, she just picked it up because she felt the calling, hot/cute redhead without the Bruce grim/dark 'my parents died' emo stuff lol
Movie/TV Alien - honestly this is a movie I can pick up and rewatch and rewatch, it is a VERY well contructed movie in terms of script, set design, characters, direction
80s cartoons in general - you can plot in on many of these and the formula works, 22 mins to solve a problem unless its a multiparter, magical time as a kid

My favorites Marvel characters. Going by vintage comics, really. 1. The Thing - the self-loathing and surliness I can relate to. 2. Captain America - I never cared for Chris Evans as Cap. To me Captain America is that guy you can't help but to like, he had honor, deceny and ethics. He has charisma and is natural leader (or unnatural given the super soldier formula). I never felt that way about Evans' Captain A. 3. Spider-Woman - The original one. Somehow she had her own cartoon.
GoBots: Royal-T - the Harrier jet Jeep-Creeper - the enemy jeep Tank - the weird sci-fi tank...thing.

Favorite tv detectives 1. Frank Cannon (Cannon), because he's fat and bald and likes good food. 2. Joe Mannix (Mannix), it's strange how much better filmed this show from the 60's was than some 70's shows. He was the more action oriented cool private eye. 3. Sonny Crocket (Miami Vice), so he's a police detective, but there's no other PI I like that much for a favorite.

#3) Sonnny Crocket... Code name: Falcon.
I like Vick Mackey from "The Shield".
I guess he was the Commish first though.
I never saw the Commish. I girl I worked with said she tried watching the Shield, but all she saw was The Commish trying to act tough, and it just didn't work for her.
Glad I never saw the Commish or it would have probably ruined it for me too.

I wanted to mention Xenogears as a retro game I remember playing back in the late 90s (I think?). I still think about it a lot to this day. It has a lot of religious themes and also takes a lot from mental health, Freud’s Theory Of Personality: Id, Ego, And Superego, as well as a larger theme of 'becoming whole.' Yahweh Interplanetary Invasion System (aka Deus): The two main heroes (Fei and Elly), the Contact and The Antitype. They keep getting reincarnated by the Zohar Modifier. They have the power and will of the Wave Existence (which has gotten trapped on this plane of existence as some proto humans thought it'd be a good idea to hook the Zohar up to their planet destroying war machine via a AI computer. Zohar kept searching for more and more power and pulled WE (basically "God") and it is trapped. The original Fei (then called Abel made contact with the WE and as a child called out for a mother type figure as he was fearful, thus Elly was created. Fei is the only one who can free WE, he has its power while Elly has its will. Meanwhile, the Deus was damaged and needs repairs, thus a mirror woman was created (Miang) to act as a controller, the person who'd guide 'humanity' to build up their generic qualities throughout time until such a time they are good enough to serve as spare parts for Deus (god in flesh). Fei is really the only 'real' person on this game. Everyone else is bio creations from the Zohar/AI computer. This is a VERY small summery of the conflict of the game. Its quite deep in lore and it took me along time to really understand it all. LOL
