Nothing goofy, just ranting.... This guy is sold out of the box. Yet the seller is charging almost three times the original price. So, you got something for about $35, open it, play with it, display it on your shelf for a year or two while it collects dust, probably falls off the shelf a few times and gets some dings, and then throw it on ebay because it has certainly gone up in value that much since you bought it. By the way, keep in mind, this is also going back up for sale on the mythic legions website in a few days for $35!!! Link...end of rant, happy Monday :-)

But Kokomo toys is a respected member of the community, like those others who decided they were more interested in cashing in on other collectors than anything else. Some sellers are waiting for the right ignorant sucker, I guess. Not a goofy onbe, but a mail-in HISS and a mail-in WOLF in one lot. linkThe HISS is always so puny next to a WOLF. The Wolf would be the superior vehicle except it's just a big snow mobile, like the other two arctic cobra vehicles.

The Wolf was used in either a Battle Force 2000 commercial, or issue #69 commercial...or both, can't remember. The 1987 Cobra Commander hopped in it at one point though. Sucked the the mail away Wolf didn't have white snowpedoes, and a white missile rack cover.
I think they should have just updated the HISS tank to have better or real tank treads. It's by far the most recognizable Cobra ground vehicle. You really don't need anything else.
I remember wanting that jet a long time ago.

Yeah, you don't hear much raving about the mail-in Wolf because it's inferior. I wonder why those parts were black, as there's no like Night Force Wolf. Triple T mail-ins at the time had Night Force parts. Maybe it's because the bottom piece was black? But the colors don't look the same, the rack, engine cover and skipeedos are more charcoal.
I had the Storm Eagle jet, its cockpit is sad...there's like parallel lines of plastic for a seat, and it's so small the pilot is cramped. I think that's because of the fold in squirt gun handle on the bottom. It's not too terrible as a kid's toy. I wouldn't have put missiles on the tops of the wings. I never got the cobra one, the Liquidator. It's funny 1992 was probably the only year where the JOE and Cobra jets were the same size/price point.

I could see a Night Force Wolf. Most likely just part factory error, and never made it to retail. Mail Away versions always seemed to be a bit odd in some way. I remember being a kid and thinking about the SIX to EIGHT week delivery time. I ordered a Skyhawk, Cobra Commander, and Steel Brigade figure before. If I could go back in time I would have ordered Starduster. The reason I copped out on most mail orders was because my family moved a lot growing up, and I thought/or either knew, that my family would move, and it would just get lost in the mail.
I remember also really wanting the MANTA (wind surf board). Heck, even the little battle stations were sweet, and they advertised those 1984/1985 sets with the figures from 1987/1988. Hit&Run would be using the Ammo Depot or some shit :-) Road Pig and Iron Grenadiers manning the Cobra Rifle Range. Man I loved the catalogues.

The wait time was an eternity in kid time. What was worse was when you got back a refund/not in stock thing. Which is why I never got a mail-in Vamp MK2. I suppose it was easier to talk my parents into mail order since I lived in small town where the few stores basically stopped carrying joe stuff after 1986.
I had the mail-in battle stations, they were ACTION FORCE versions with some color variations (the Cobra rifle range had a darker brown sandbag wall whatever, ammo dump crate was darker) and action force labels! Air Defense was the "Air Defence" That was around the time Hasbro relaunched Action Force in the Europe.

The only accessory in the lot is a steering wheel. Crazylegs crazy behind the wheel. Bonus Baroness from when the seller (I assume is a woman) used when she played with her brother. *sniff* Heart warming. link

I'm sure I could use parts from some of those figures. Cross Country looked good, so did Monkeywrench.

There's a lot of bootleg legos from Asia, I've seen the GI JOE ones, and recently noticed you can get lots of 20 lego knights/foot soldiers for $20 more or less, crazy cheap (i've no idea about quality), and there's WW2 bootlegs..fun idea, but I think they went too far...

The Nazi's made me not like legos for a minute. I'd like to see the Joe ones though...

Only auction I see at the moment is for Serpy. Others include Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Mutt, Firefly...some person is offering those on fan made mini vintage cards.
