Or just DREDD if you are like me and saw it 2D.
Good: Gritty and violent.
Judge Dredd never removes his helmet.
Cute girl as his rookie partner, Anderson.
Lena Headey as the villainess.
Bad: Doesn't feel that futuristic, the Stallone movie was more sci-fi. Mentions of mutants, none are shown. Dredd drives a motorcycle that's just a motorcycle...not a flying one.
Humorless mostly...the Dredd comics, the ones I remember, had a lot of gags. I guess they wanted to avoid the 90's movie's mistakes.
Most of movie spent in one giant building. Feels a bit cheap.
I enjoyed it, but it would be a rental for most people. I was one of 12 people in the theater...opening weekend.

Never knew it was a comic. I watched the first because Dennis Leary was in it Am I even remembering the right movie? I thought the first one was pretty good. I'll see it on DVD. Movie tickets are just too dang expensive.

I hate it when a movie is titled as "____ 3D." 3D is ok as a viewing option, but not as the single draw.
This was a fairly weak week at the Box Office. Jennifer Lawrence horror movie was number one and this bombed. I never saw the orginal Dredd movie. Maybe one day.

Never knew it was a comic. I watched the first because Dennis Leary was in it Am I even remembering the right movie? I thought the first one was pretty good. You are thinking of DEMOLITION MAN (which is better regarded). That came earlier, had unfrozen Stallone reacting to a politically correct future, chasing Wesley Snipes, featured Sandra Bullock before she was annoying. Most Americans are unfamiliar with JUDGE DREDD comics, they are mainly a British thing, and weren't published by Marvel...I think DC maybe had a run back in the 90's unconnected to the British continuity (which IIRC has been ongoing for some 30 years...). So I expected this movie to bomb in the USA. No star power, negative Stallone 90's connection, and unfamiliar character to American audiences.
