50 Greatest GI JOE Characters of All TimeHey, I wasn't asked to participate! #46 Lt. Stone Sure, whatever! Some stuff that's wrong: No, IIRC, Remus's contract with Hasbro had ended by then. McMahon probably used that Iraqi-sympathizer story line to punish Remus/Slaughter for being part of GI JOE, since Vince is a raging asshole. (Speculation on my part.)

Oooo... a meaningless listing thread.
Nope, Slaughter heel run wasn't a punishment. They were piggy backing off of the Iraq War. The idea was to make money. Evil turncoat vs the American Hero Hulk Hogan. Sarge got the title from Warrior, dropped it to Hogan. Wrestlemania 7 didn't do the type of business they thought it would, though (the hayday of Hulkamania was ending and people wanted something new).

Yeah, Snow-Job? What? I think they did that for surprise value. Chameleon? Really? REALLY? WE HAD TO INCLUDE EVERY JOE FEMALE WE COULD. Oooo... a meaningless listing thread. Yeah, but IIRC, didn't the WWF drop Slaughter in the 80's after he signed with Hasbro? Wikipedia Slaughter wanted back in the WWF, but I could see McMahon coming up with the turncoat heel idea as payback for Slaughter's era with Hasbro. I dunno. I'm not up on wrestling history. Vince McMahon may be more shrewd than shitheel.

The only person who is/was persona non grata with Vince McMahon and the WWE was Randy Savage (long standing rumor he took the virginity of Vince's daughter when she was underage). He's still left out of their hall of fame, despite being one of the all time greats (winning two titles as a babyface during the age of Hulkamania is quite an acomplishment).
Getting the heavy weight title is a big honor in wrestling. And everyone turns heel/babyface throughout their careers. I just look at Wrestlemania 7 as a misplay. Sarge/Hogan should have been a special attraction match and Warrior/Savage should have been the title match. Then Undertaker beats Warrior at Summeslam. That's my own bit of fantasy booking.

Promised second meaningless list, the 50 Greatest Cobra Characters..which includes trooper types, because the 50 Greatest Actual Characters would be every Cobra personality ever. It doesn't take much to guess who the top five are.

These lists are stupid.

Cobra Commander should be number 1 Cobra list.
Duke should be number 2 on the Joe list.

Snow Job as #2 proves the list is an automatic fail.
