I have interest, but I'm never buying a con set. What's the point when you'd miss half the stuff if you don't attend the show?
They've said, the club, that vac-metallized vehicles are a no-go. Funny, some Canadian con did some chrome HISS tanks some years back.

They should have done a silver Mobat with a black canon for Megatron.

Hasbro display case Joe Con
Hasbro Panel 20162016 FunPub gets an extension through 2018. TRU exclusives coming in November. 2 Pks: Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow 2pk Cobra Viper vs Iron Grenadier 2pk Zombie Patrol 2pk Stilleto and Heavy Duty 2pk Tombstone vs Duke 2pk The new G.I. Joe Squad 3pks: Cobra B.A.T., S.A.W. Viper and Female Cobra Officier Shooter, Falcon and Outback Not much new. Finally a female Cobra trooper...er...officer, but she's not masked. Has the goofy pony tail that women in armed forces probably don't wear. Also man-legs, because I don't know. SAW viper has a worse color than imagined. BAT is blah. Heavy D and Stilleto...odd pairing, Heavy Duty gets some non-RoC representation. Tombstone? No idea. Spider-man villain, isn't he? Duke looks like ASS. Guaranteed least popular 2-pack. Shooter, nice that's she's not a club figures, but...more of that not-really-night force subset. Zombies aren't recolored, because the budget for these is so small that even changing one color would count as a new figure and they are allowed so many "new figures". What a load. Should've been Zombie viper recolor and Viper-Zombie with swappable head. No vehicles because they only have 5 vehicle molds and did them all....I'm joking. I guess they don't sell well enough.

Apparently GI JOE fandom likes being screwed over by a greedy and incompetent Fan Club so much they whined to Hasbro and that's why there's 2 more years coming.

I guess the collectors club is still continuing.... Xamot, in business suit! Lame there's no Tomax though. gijoeclub.com/I hate always chiming in with my hatred of the newer figure styles, but I'll never like the non-O-ring 25th style figures.....well most of them anyway

Yeah, they got a two year lease on life at the last minute.
The Xamot is from some alternate universe...I think. Not sure. The Steel Raven chick is odd, too, since there's only been one other Extreme character made, Iron Klaw.
I don't like any style of GI JOE figures. The vintage break too easily. I'm sort of kidding. I dug out a BAT troop builder set I had and broke Overkill's knee joint just moving it. It's not a good figure and I have more than one copy, but that doesn't mean I want it broken.
What soured me of 25th/modern were two things. The change in scale and tearing the cobra legion's cobra trooper's hand off by you know...moving it. Their hips get too loose too fast, too. No o-ring tension. I guess their stuff has gotten better. I buy them if they are garage sales cheap. I got a few retaliation figures when they were $5.
And "new sculpt" those things are torso crackin' all over the place. Some worse than others. In a few years a 2003 Zarana without a cracked chest will be a rarity.

He's too buff. The legs are okay, and the head too, bummer they screwed up the arms and the torso.
Still cool they are doing it for fans.

Larry Hama action figure Kickstarter coming soonBecause GI JOE fanboys want something to jack off to, since Star Wars fans got their George Lucas stormtroopers and such years ago. Seriously, you could buy a Tunnel Rat, who was based on Hama, or wait and pledge $20+ to get a figure a year from next January. I don't get modern collecting. $20+ for a new 4" figure is too much. Trying to think if there's any character from any media I'd pay $20 for a new figure of.

Hama will never get better than Tunnel Rat.
$20 a figure, that's why I got into the Sideshow line. I reasoned it by telling myself that I'd rather have one perfect G.I. JOE figure, rather than 20 variants of crappy figures. In the end, I had to customize most of the figures (get a new body, new uniform, new gear) that it kind of felt pointless. The official figure would have a few essential parts, but that's it.
I am almost tempted to get the Star Wars Black Series 3.75" Imperial Guard, it looks pretty cool, but as an adult those guards really piss me off, there's no way they can turn their heads wearing those helmets! Not very good at guarding if you can't look around. I would rather use vintage G.I. JOE Crimson Guards with the COBRA emblems worn off.

I have two of those guard on the vintage series cards but knew they'd go up in value since they weren't really released in stores (online and some oddball retail places got them somehow), so I never opened them. Joke is now I'll never find the reissue.
Yeah, it's an absurd helmet design. I'm reminded of the Tim Burton Batman movies where Batman can't really turn his head much because of that thick rubber cowl.
