I only ever liked those guys for the time frame in which they appear in the movie. I was like, "Wow! Those guys look cool!" And then I imagined what it was like to be one, and then I was like, "I can't turn my head and fight, this sucks!" :-)

Still using those "Night Stalker" helmets.

Convention reveal...
They showed Maverick and he looks like kitbashed crap. LOL. Modern joes and recycled parts...boring as heck. (someday this era will be seen as uncreative, parts-reuse-happy over-priced figure shitfest that it was) Oh, but they remade his weapon. Reused head, body and gear but he has his futuristic gun.
And BATS...not exciting. I bash the club on principle (I despise the idea limited run, overpriced figures FOR any toy series) but at least in the now distant past, they'd come up with things I might want to own.

Fuck, that Maverick looked bad. It;s kind of funny that the Joe community hasn't really gotten much bigger, and stuff like BF 2000 is now something they'll drop mad ducats on despite that BF 2000 was still considered gayer than Journey like 5-6 years ago.
You think it'll be like the 80th repaint of the v1 25th B.A.T.? Or will they be exotic and do a NU HEADSKKKULPT for a 91 style.

I'm sure they'll find a way to use Cobra Shock Trooper arms on 1/3rd of the figures. Some pursuit of Cobra Duke will become Blaster and/or Dodger. Avalanche's oddness will be hard to pull off, but seeing Maverick, they'll barely try...like Neo-Viper movie armor or something.

Battle Force 2000 characters were all killed off but Dodger. I always find it weird to see dead characters rereleased. Let em rest in peace.
When I was a kid I thought it would be so cool to have the BF 2000 base where all the vehicles connected. They didn't even snap together, it was the weakest gimmick I ever saw Hasbro do.

They sprung for the 1991 head sculpt that they couldn't be bothered to with their "Inferno BAT" subscription figure. IK guess the "Squad leader" will the neon 90's tribute, while the regulars will be the mail-in troop builder colors?

So according to the brochure, it'll be 6 original BF 2000 members, NO DEE-JAY (In the boxed set anyway), the BAT Squad Leader and 8 BATS. Sounds like 8 different figures for $410....that's like $50 per unique figure with 7 duplicates of one of them thrown in free! What a bargain!

Ho-lee shit, that's insane! It's not like the B.A.T. isn't a commonly army built figure or anything either. Shit I collected 25th style Joes for 8 months total, and wound up with 10 uses of that mold. Guess they gotta get mileage outta that new head somehow!

A PS4 with all the bells and whistles is cheaper...so is a real gun. Heck, my scooter wasn't even that much!

Yeah, some of those are bad mock-ups but...why would they make Dogder's guns green even in photoshop? Knockdown was the worst of the originals, so they wanted to keep that going...wow.

To be fair, Knockdowns thighs are more appropriately proportioned to the rest of his body.
I just can't believe how terrible Dodger looks. He was a cool guy...the key word "was". Everything about this version of Dodger just looks terrible. No mic? Ugly face. Upper body armor is weak. Why is he so green? Why is he so bright green? Why is his face so terrible? It hurts my head to look at this figure.

So the Hasbro REVOLUTIONS crossover madness becomes an SDCC set. If you wanted Renegades Roadblock you are gonna pay out the arse. A new Visionaries figure! ROM! And uh...black Matt Trakker. The monster guy is a Dire Wraith. Tiny guys are Micronaughts.
