That's right on the verge of people noping out. I also think fandom is all Snake Man'd out. It's a hard sell. Doesn't resemble anything. It's just fan fiction without any media to back it up. But they should know, that all they need to do is include some random snake-figure repaint and they will reach all their stretch goals.

I read one post by an apologist complaining about the entitlement and arrogance of MOTU fans. LOL! For people wanting what they voted for?? How is questioning spending $300 plus shipping on a collectible entitlement? Oh, no, voters feel owed what they voted for!

I have no idea. It seemed logical a pimped up Horde Playset would win.
The Snake Lair winning always seemed iffy to me. And there has been this long standing push for Snake Men when plenty of popular POP/Horde stuff is still outstanding.

Maybe like Sun-Man and friends, the easy parts reusage compared to the Horde. They can keeping making Snake-Men with few to no new parts (some 8 or 9 now have no new parts). Of course, there's some Horde they can do that with, like trooper variations.
The Horde vote was split three ways, though everyone could vote for two thing. Did we ever find out what the runner up was? I don't remember.

Wasn't the Horde tank runner up? Not something I would have got.
The conspiracy theorist in me tells me that they rigged the voting election so Snake Lair would win no matter what.
But it isn't that hard to imagine most fans probably are crazy for anything snake-men.
Horde is mainly for She-Ra, and that means bringing in Princess of Power.
MOTU fans tend to be divided when it comes to PoP. Filmation fans generally welcome it, while the strictly MOTU fans would probably jump at more snake-men stuff rather than more Horde items. As far as toy stuff, Mattel has pretty much finished the Horde except for Modulok.
The Fright-Zone with the tree is kind of dated. But I still prefer it to the Horde Tower & throne.
Also, until very recently, the ORIGINS theme was based on the vintage toy style/mini-comic... The contest had like 3 Filmation items, plus one boring vintage playset, and the Snake Lair. Even if the vote wasn't rigged, they wanted Snake Lair to win.
*I think there is a strong push for Snake-Men from both fans and the company. *Lady Slither was a good idea. King Hiss deserved better though. *Too bad the Snake Lair doesn't have an optional snake head for the tall tower. That may be its downfall.

They've been teased on package art and/or minicomics. Golden Rod was just a Classics idea to reuse existing parts. Well, they all were to some degree, but at least the others are snakey.
Well of Souls reminds us how weird and gnarly Eternia was supposed to be. I mean Filmation did make it an eerie place, but also gave us like Widgets and stuff.

It looks like Gwildor is swimming next to the steps.
Golden Rod is an easy pass.
I like Strettch Nek and Quick Flick.

They really are quite a bit bigger than regular Origins figures.

Looking at my Masterverse Shadow Weaver, she stands just a little taller than She-Ra. I think she will work great for the Filmation figures. And even though she is a tad large, looks pretty good with regular Origins too IMHO.
