Now Origins, there's been just one. Eternia, a grail for many Gen Xers.
Let's remember that Eternia didn't make it to "Old Man Kelcar, Eclar, Kecklar...whatever" backer goal, such a fun offering that he hasn't appeared via a creations exclusives in the nearly 2 years since he was shown. WE MEANT WE'D NEVER MAKE HIM. Like Hasbro said with wolfman Ariel Schlock or whatever his name is.

Snake of Thrones.

I think the throne would look better displayed at the entrance in front, with Snake Guards standing by, as Bravo pointed out, there is nowhere for them to do it inside.
Most of the playsets interiors suck.
It looks to be the case with this one too.
Just use the interior for a dungeon, which it mostly looks like. Hard to display both sides at the same time, which would require a table, not a shelf.

Only way I would get it is if it came with some good snake-men figures, particularly the ones I've already mentioned.

Honestly, seems like it would be better for 1/18 COBRA than MOTU.

I like that it has torture instruments. And that the display photos have them near a black prisoner. RACIST MUCH, MATTEL?

The bad throne placement was also a thing for the other fan choice vote, Doom Tower.

The only problem I see with Vypor, is he looks soooo better than all the other snake-men.

Even Terroar and Lord Gr'Asp don't have much about them that says, "We belong to the snake-men."

I honestly can't make out the interior of the Snake Lair very well from the photos.

Maybe it's more impressive than I can see.

When I see the big COBRA head on the front, I just can't help but think of G.I.JOE, not MOTU.

*Edit* Just saw the new pics. It does look like a fun playset. Interior is more detailed than I thought.


King Hisss has been demoted to body guard status.

I detest that they've supplanted Hiss with Lady Slither. But she's my Snake Men's leader currently since King Hiss is too much money on the aftermarket (and that 2025 TMNT-crossover King Hiss is...well, he's foot soldier in one mode and four armed snake in other.).

It's odd, Skeletors, He-Men, and Hordaks galore but the Snake Men's leaders are mostly stuck behind paywalls.

I look at it like, she was the leader before HISS and now is back for whatever reason, so you have the push pull, maybe like Baroness/Destro who wears the pants in that relationship. I haven't read any mini-comics, so that's my take on them only. I will support more females in the line/mythos in general as generic goon He-Man punches is hard to get excited about. LOL

Turtles have sold since the 80s. Remember, its not just a MotU line, its a Turtles line and Turtles can support all sorts of different lines. One of the great comic IP to be created completely independent of Marvel/DC.

The idea behind Turtles of Grayskull is brilliant, but a lot of stupid stuff too.

Snake Shredder could be your Snake-Man leader Bravo.

Vypor would be good to have extras of for customs too.

Actually, pretty good future selection of figs. Faker and Skeletor to reuse stuff, but also some fun characters like Leech, who will look cool as his cartoon self. Frosta as was one of my wishlist characters.

I missed Invisible Skeletor the first time around. Never saw him anywhere.

Buzz-Off? I mean, part of the wave that killed Origins at retail? He and Sorceress sold better, but really? They should really risk pissing off fans and make fan favorites of Creations exclusives, like Fangor and Koldar. But they are also too obscure for their current mold, probably. I mean, if Vultak is going Creations.

Leech might be neat. And any new females are good.
