Rewatched the live action movie, notes of interest...

Skeletor is basically the Emperor when he could move around quick...he even shoots lightning from his hands.

In fact, this may be the best Star Wars prequel ever.

Skeletors storm troopers all seem to have Darth Vader helmets.

I really enjoyed the hoverboards as a kid, still neat, but looks dated now.

Every time Julie has a big moment, I expect to hear the music theme for Friends.

If they do Origins movie figures, they need to make the police chief.

Castle Grayskull actually has a GRAY SKULL.

Snake Mountain is mentioned twice by Gwildor, but is never seen.

Skeletor and his army strolls right on through town completely unnoticed.

Julie is much happier whenever she hugs He-Man, more than her boyfriend.

We don't say goodbye, we say, "Good journey."

Man-At-Arms and Teela just happen to be carrying the spare parts for Gwildors time machine, I mean space key...this is just lazy writing.

Sorceress does absolutely nothing.

Beast-Man really hurts a guy at the school.

Blade looks dangerous.

Teela breaks the 4th wall after killing a bunch of Skeletors men, looks at the camera and says, "Woman-At-Arms"...good scene.

The Good:
The collector is big enough to hold a few figures but not some huge crowd funded thing.
Mikey's He-Man wig is removable
Mikey's nunchuks might have actual chains
Teela's TMNT armor is removable
Merman has leg option along with tail.
Leech, movie Beastman and Sy-Klone in Masterverse, even if I don't buy them.
Alternate heads for Adam and Cringer, proper hand for Adam.

The Bad:
No cape for Evil-Lyn
Cartoon baddies mostly weaponless
Cartoon collection suddenly devoid of good guys.
No Princess of Power anything
TMNT He-Man is little more than a reissue
TMNT Casey Jones, so many weapons but only one gripping hand.
Mer-Man is translucent, he'd be cooler not.
How many Masterverse Skeletors are they making this year? Yeesh.
Is Cringer and Adam a wide release? Not sure yet.
Reptilax and Vypor are Creations exclusives
Once again, boring choice for Stranger Things repaint...He-Man.
No sign of Night Stalker teased last year.

The Ugly:
Walmart exclusives...and one is a freakin' army builder.
Where's the regular hover droid set?
Reptilaxative has that damn Ram-Man ax.
TMNT's sword is ridiculous, yeah, it's a Raphael thing, but there's a reason sai aren't that big.
No multi figure or troop builder sets announced/shown. (Besides crimson Horde trooper and hoverdroid)
No Dragstor, Mutlibot or Modulok
Powers of Grayskull characters still nowhere despite constant package art teases.

I would get the Skeletor and Splinter.
Leo isn't bad, but I don't see any need to have TMNT Origins figures.
This is all just fan fiction.


Origins
Cartoon figures look cute.
Vehicle not necessary, but nice to have.

Masterverse: Pass.


MOTU is all over the place, instead of just finishing what they started with Origins.
Sun-Men, Turtles, Masterverse, now cartoon figures...what could have taken a few years to get a complete line, they are milking it as much as they can. And when the sales drop, Mattel WILL cancel without completing anything.

Makes me want to just try and hunt down vintage stuff, and be a vintage collector to be honest.

The throne will need some plastic scrap laid down to make a step for an Origins figure to fit right and rest his feet on.
Masterverse Skeletor seems to be sitting too high on it to be somfortable...like he is sliding off.
He could probably use an extra step.
The fact that the throne sits on a base...probably would need to remove the base too, to make it look right.
Needs some custom work for Masterverse or Origins IMHO.

Yeah, people are excited, but a few comment leavers noticed "no vintage toy" show for Origins. Not even Extendar whom is coming. Or Night Stalker shown last year. Two-Bad, they'll hold until closer to SDCC and then whatever happens, that will be a sh-t show. I just remember the Power Con crap...twice...and why did I keep interest after that. Writing was on the wall then.

Stonedar is not a stone's throw away from being a figure.

I don't see the need for 200 versions of TMNT made by 30 different companies. GI JOE never gets this treatment, maybe like 4 or 5 companies.

Get the Super7 5.5" Shadow Weaver.
Imp is small enough from Classics, would work well with Origins.
Thought they should have made one the size they did for Loo-Kee in Classics.
Kowl could kick his butt.

More on the bone throne for origins..Need to correct myself,
I don't think adding a simple step would do the trick.
You would need to trim off the bottom of the legs of the throne to the desired height...
Cut off the skulls on the bottom and glue them back on the trimmed throne.
Should still be able to use the base if you want.


No Two-Bad, but Bebop & Rocksteady.

Stonedar will be right after Modulok in two or three more years...maybe more. They will probably even do Multi-Bot first just to be jerks.

Masterverse will have them all first.

BTW, I think I see what Bravo means about April O'Neil Sorceress...would be nice to see more leg and thigh on April.

Masterverse seems be slowing down on "new" characters. Or just how I see it. Re-redoing Battle Armor He-Man, etc, what looks like a whole wave of "do-overs" and Revolutions versions. Part of that is cashing in on Revolutions while its fresh. But last year got the hopes up, especially with female characters.

Is it me or is the bat-like head under the masterverse horde trooper helmet a rip off of Mythic Legions vampires?
