It's worth watching Bravo. I've heard the series has popped up on DVD in some chain stores.
Fun Fact: The accident with the radioactive chemicals that causes Daredevil to go blind and get his super powers is the same ooze that causes the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to mutate from the spillage that runs into the sewers from that specific accident with Daredevil as a kid.

I downloaded the Titans first ep with the intention of hate watching it, but then I thought better of it.
I did watch the first ep of Swamp Thing, but it got cancelled out the gate, think it had to do with state grant funding, but why get invested if its DOA? Blah. It was pretty good.
Think the problem with these streaming services.. something can be good, but its only justified if its drawing eyeballs to your service. The viewership for the Marvel shows on Netflix supposedly tanked. I think they overextended themselves. Most people would just think, I'd rather watch a MCU movie rather than a tv experience. The DC streaming service is completely dead in the water. The Star Trek stuff on CBS All Access, its not getting subs.
I do think the Disney service will be able to go up against Netflix because it does have a lot of great IPs. Star Wars, Marvel, Disney stuff.

The Marvel shows on Netflix got cancelled because of the deal with Disney, not because a lack of ratings. Daredevil is the second most illegally downloaded series following Game of Thrones.

Hard Candy - This is a psychological thriller starring Ellen Page. I think it's pretty solid. I'd give it 3 stars. The two leads are basically playing off of one another the entire movie. There's some interesting stuff put forth here. The idea that predators rely on charisma to enable their behavior, and because the way the film blurs things, you can feel for the guy because he uses every trick in the book to help himself once the tables are turned, but to be clear, there's no doubt he is a villain, but so his Page's character, this insane siren who entraps him for her vengeance quest. I can see why Ellen Page is thought of in high regard, great performance.

SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME - Hard to talk about this without spoilers. You can probably figure it all out from the trailer if you know anything about Mysterio. The mid-credits scene is a hoot and the end credits scene seems more relevant that most end credits bits. Glad neither got spoiled.
Still, maybe it's my comic book burnout, but it was entertaining but just above average. I'm not big on teenage awkward romance/high school shit, either. Also, Spider-Man does a lot of action out of costume or regular costume and Peter still removes his mask too freely for someone with a secret identity. Also, a lot of things depend on variables that would be hard to predict, again...that involves spoilers.
I rate it 6 out of 10.

SCOOBY-DOO AND GUESS WHO? - I was completely unaware of the 13th incarnation of Scooby-Doo (not counting movies & direct to cable/video movies). It's a modern take The New Scooby Doo Movies from the 70's, where the gang teamed up with celebrities and other toon characters, but in a half hour format. It's a tad self-parodying. That's hard to avoid in today's age, but two of the three episodes I watched I enjoyed. I haven't been too keen on most modern Scooby Doo shows. I never finished watching BE COOL, SCOOBY-DOO, since they got wonky with releasing new episodes, but it was okay.

ONCE UPON A TIME...IN HOLLYWOOD - First Tarantino movie I've seen a in long time. It's fairly good, but not great. I've never liked DiCaprio or Pitt that much but they are good here as an aging Hollywood star and his stunt double/best friend. There's a fake old commercial during the credits. The main parts I didn't like were telling the audience what's going on via narration (that disappears for two hours, so I forgot he was even doing it) and labeling of famous people via text on screen.

AD ASTRA - As close to a Star Brigade movie as we'll get. Hahaha...I'm joking. It's a serious near-future science fiction movie like Interstellar and The Martian, but not as pretentious as Interstellar. I enjoyed it but it did get a bit psychobabbley at times. Rotten Tomato audience score is 40%. People are more used to sci-fi action than slow burn. It probably looks great on IMAX. I just saw standard.

I liked Brad Pitt in "Fight Club", and Leonardo Dicaprio in "Catch Me If You Can." Yeah, that's about it for those two.
I haven't really enjoyed tarantinos movies since Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs. I did like Kill Bill, but the very first scene with the fight between the girls was just stupid...so were their lines...it just felt like quentin was making a wet dream fantasy movie for himself, and with that opening for the movie...made it challenging to sit through the rest.
Django had so much racism in it, I will never watch this film again. It was not an enjoyable experience. And a side note, I really don't like modern music in westerns...it takes away from era of the story....in a bad way.
Hatefull8...was halfway decent, mainly because of Kurt Russel, but he dies halfway through and well...the movie does too. Sitting through this was better than Django...but I have no desire to ever watch this again either.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, I refuse to watch because of how I've heard Bruce Lee is portrayed. Have some respect for the legend quentin. Yeah, you see me not capitalizing his name, it's because I have no respect for the guy anymore.
I'm sure I'll catch AD ASTRA at some point...it's sci-fi, so its on my list. I thought Armegeddon was the Star Brigade movie? It even starts out on the Tactical Battle Platform! Also Bruce Willis is G.I.JOE!

Yeah, Armageddon more like the Star Brigade movie, there's a real story behind that. Ad Astra is more serious that than and slow moving. I don't always like serious science fiction, as such films get high on self-importance and always have to be about something else (like how the movie CONTACT was about faith vs science). And this movie is no exception, it just mostly worked for me.
With Tarantino there's the artist but there's the 14 year old mindset...the one who portrays rednecks as perverts, like schoolgirl uniform psychopaths, likes graphic violence and has a foot fetish.

Don't forget the "N" word... he has to use that like 100 times in his movies.
If you ever watch Armageddon again, think of Steve Buscemi's character as Dial Tone.

Watched Disney's Sleeping Beauty. This film has alot going for it. The art direction, use of Tchaikovsky's ballet as the score, and the rich powerful voices of Maleficent and Aurora in particular. The way the scenes are, you can pause the movie at any given point, you have a nice piece of art. They go for the very angular look. It really plays as a tapestry. Aurora's voice gives her a maturity alot of the retro fairy tale princesses lacked, she also has this elegance to her, its like she is ready to be a queen right now. The design of her dress in the woods, when her and Prince Phillip, its flows nice with the steps. You lose the broadway musical quality other Disney films have, this goes in the opposite direction, its has more in common with opera/ballet. The final battle between Phillip and the dragon form of Maleficent, its so stylized and epic, I don't know if you have a better visual of good vs evil. 4 out of 4 stars. This is probably may favorite retro Disney animated film.

I finally saw Avengers Endgame, lol! I liked Infinity War better. Sad to see Tony die. Black Widow was kind of a bummer...that was Hulks love. I didn't see Captain Marvel, Black Panther or the Ant-Man movies...I feel like I'm over it.
Other stuff I've watched on Netflix,
The Last Kingdom...good series, based on actual events...I think.
Roman Empire, it's a series narrated by Sean Bean, recreating historical events, looks like it belongs on the history channel except for all the nude women. History class just got interesting :-)

Not missing that much. None of them are bad movies, though. I never saw Dr Strange and don't feel like i've missed anything. Not to say I won't see it someday.
Infinity War was better. Time travel gets to be a crutch, and as some people pointed out...all the people snapped back into existence at the spots they disappeared...sucks for those who were on airplanes, boats, moving cars, elevators...let's hope Hulk thought some things through. Maybe they'd be in the cars, planes and boats they'd been in and not geographically where they disappeared. Then again, there's all the people who died because of the people vanishing. What about them?
