Another wave of Target figures and they are all popular Cobras. It's like Hasbro knows GI JOE collectors are really Cobra collectors but then twists the knife.

I got Zartan/Cobra Troop.
One thing... these are only two figs, so should be a tad easier to find in stores.
The panel talked about the Cobra Island story, looking for roadlbock, I'm like, you fools, he's peg warming. Firefly, just add him to cart. LOL
(I also got the retro line off of walmart, seeing that I missed out on wave 1, I do kind of like Scarlett)

Debated Scarlett. Even debated FANG despite my bitching...it's too far away to care. Besides I just got two HISS tanks for a total of $3 this month. LOL.

 I do question the webgear on Firefly. Kind of reminds me of Renagades Firefly, actually. Zartan comes with a monkeys paw. Also, they stated the packpack generates masks. I never thought of that. I miss Zartan having holo chest plate, but I do like this one well enough. Troops are troops. Nothing too exciting. I don't army build, but I want to keep getting one of everything. |

Cobra Trooper looks pretty good!
Firefly is decent, but I hate the gear they put on him. I blame Resolute for designing him with the protective blast vest...even if it is logical.
This style (and 25th) use the gear to hide the lame body construction, I'm sure that's why they went with the blast vest. If I was into this line, I would still get him.
Viper...in my book, the Cobra Trooper is Viper. I would rather get an extra Cobra Trooper.
Zartan looks homeless, but hey, he is a Dreadnok...and times are tough. I'm not going to judge his current situation :-)

I'd thought the Viper reused CC's haed for a second. They made the designs too similar.
Given the repaints, you wouldn't need to army build anyway it'll be organic. By this time next year, that trooper will have 5 more repaints/redecos.

The Cobra Troop repaint is missing the goggle and one of the bigger weapons. They went with a lighter color taking a bit from Sunbow. If they were live in front of a crowd and taking questions, this Target stuff would be the number one question. LOL

The Good, the Bad and Gung Ho!
I don't like that they gave Gung Ho a mohawk instead of a skinned shaved head.
Other than that, he looks pretty good. As far as weapons go, I also think a M-16 with or without the grenade launcher attachment is a better weapon for him.
