I wish I could find the retro figure swapping that was going on for modern Joes back in the day, there were some amusing ones.

I remember weird shit like swapping 25th Night Watch trooper out for a 25th DVD MASS Device trooper and a few bizarre customs. Nothing quite beats the build a figure scam for a Star Wars C-3PX from some 2 packs, someone broke up a crappy 90's C-3PO and replaced the parts in 6 packs.

This Baroness figure actually reminds me of vintage Joe where a very desirable figure would be packaged as a driver... Zartan and his color changing gimmick, Serpentor and his gold plastic that had a pop to it, gold headed Destro and his cape. I definitely am going to say Baroness feels like a deluxe figure in terms of crafting and accessories. Sometimes the cycle looks good, other times I feel like its a cheap toy. I'm iffy on it compared to the figure. The pegs are tough to be used actually. But she does look striking next or riding it.

I would ditch the motorcycle. Black would have been better for her, and the only reason it's not black is they must be planning to do a black version for Snake-Eyes.

So, with G.I. Joe, back when they released the G.I. Joe Battle Pack #1 in I believe 2007, which included Duke, Gung Ho, Roadblock, Scarlett, and Snake Eyes, those five characters were firmly placed as the 'core' of G.I. Joe. The first G.I. Joe classified Roadblock is a tribute to his second figure released in 1986. The second Classified Roadblock figure... low effort repaint in an exclusive wave. The designated peg warmer. The we gotta get use out of these mold parts figure. I don't see a comparison to any other Roadblock figure... ever. It's odd. You got bandana, t-shirt, and glasses. And a big gun. Oh joy. The t-shirt bugs me. Ok, you got a black-white camo pattern, but hey, lets put a freaking G.I. Joe stars/stripes logo stamped on top of it. Pick one or the other. Low-rent Night Force Roadblock. The facial hair doesn't ever harken back to any version of Roadblock ever. The glasses is his best accessory, however will be easily lost. For my money, its the worst figure thus far in the line.

Exclusive Black Lives Matter Roadblock.....
oh boy.
Whoever thought of the tuning-fork gun needs to be removed from the research and design team.

Major Mantis, part Zorak and part Major Bludd.
Mountain Lion, LY but a Thundercats version
Puma, a cat who puts out fires.
Leopard, Zartan who has spots that appear in sunlight
Foxtrot, Flint who can dance.
I don't understand Isaac Hayes Roadblock, either. They could've made a new character since it's a new head. Heavy Duty? Double Blast? Salvo?

Creativity and originality is a rare thing these days. Everything is just rebooted and repackaged, movies, video games, toys, cars, clothing, everything.
