That Destro is interesting, but from what I recall from his original release he's a giant even by modern standards.

I haven't looked for them myself. I was near a Wal-Mart yesterday but had better things to do.

So Roadblocks head is keeping with Classified and this is giant Destro.  Scarlett looks okish.

This line is getting sillier. Roadblock warranted a new head that's not accurate to the card art, but Scarlett gets a new head that is? And this after getting Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow wrong?
Destro's cardback has COBRA THE ENEMY on it's not DESTRO THE ENEMY, but the cardbacks are so off it hardly matters.

Yeah, Scarlett is most interesting. I'll never see any of them.

That Roadblock is especially bad, considering that there was a modern Tiger Force version, that was about as good as one could get for a modern interpretation.

I mean, I wouldn't have bought it, but I can still complain!

Apparently that one used a Collector's Club created head. No one knows if Hasbro can use those heads. They should, they own GI JOE, and the license holder can just take molds, comics, etc from previous licensees who created them. That's how it works. That's why IDW can reprint Marvel and Devil's Due comics. That's how Mattel used Kenner's Batcave Command Center playset in the 2000's after they got the DC license.

So, if you randomly saw those two lines.. .He-Man and GIJoe, what would pop more to you? What would remind you of your childhood? The GIJoe line looks sad next to He-Man.

Mattel's putting the effort in, Hasbro is focusing on six-inch and doing a low investment cash in on ARAH card. Remember Hasbro cannot get any amount of vintage carded 3 3/4" Star Wars in stores, either.

MOTU Classics was awesome.
It wasn't till I realized my whole room was dominated by a bunch of evil looking dudes, I realized this wasn't for me anymore.
The other deal breaker was the super wide crotch for the females from the Greyskull line.
Cartoon Teela, Cartoon Sorceress, Cartoon She-Ra and Cheetarah all suffer from this defect, BADLY!
And these were the figures/characters I cared about the most.

FANG with a new air trooper coming, but they redid the FANG completely. Makes no sense, they already remade the whole mold it in 25th. Retro but not retro?
Edit: It's $25...for a FANG? Remember it was in a set with a CLAW with Viper for $16. (Insert the modern collector, "those times are past, blah, blah, I'll pay anything for retro packaged bullshit") Again, why not redo something that ain't been redone already. WOLVERINE? SLUGGER?


Stuff ships in JANUARY. What the fudge? People have in hand samples of have the wave and it won't ship until winter 2021?

I prefer the original box art for the FANG. Cobra Trooper piloting looked like he had way more guts :-)

I managed to preorder all of Wave 1 to go along with Wave 2. They keep going up and down for preorder if you keep checking in with Walmart. But you have to be quick. Storm Shadow and the jeep were the last things I got. The shipping dates on all these items are random as heck, but I am exited nevertheless.

Just no effort with Duke, Lady Jaye and Cobra Commander here. An embarrassing lot. Duke is the 'screaming' Duke from the DVD pack. Webgear meant for his jetpack, the screaming head. LOL
