Mercer is big...and he was just playing the part when he helped blow up the terrordrome.
When Red Dog wanted to leave Falcon behind, I think that line would have better suited Mercer.
But then Red Dog would have had even less lines.
Baroness is cute.

Being that I've been under the weather and can't do much of anything aside from rest and listen to radio/youtube, I did read issue 1 of Transformers I got (energon universe).
The art has a nice energy to it. #1s can be tough as they are usually sit up, but I thought it did what it needed to do.
Run down:
Spike, Sparkplug, and Carly are all in it. Sparkplug is a drunk and lamenting the death of his first born son in a war. Spike obviously worried about his dad, but dad is drowning his sorrows. Spike wants to be an astronaut. Carly has been raced swapped? I'm not sure if she's black or more along the lines of ambiguously brown ala Lex or Two-Face in those 90s Batman/Superman toons. She wants to be an artist.
Jetfire shows up and finds the ark and he's been in deep space, doesn't even know there's a war going on. He has teletraan 1 star repairing/reviving and his old friend Starscream is first, who just straight up destroys Bumblebee (which I believe was a choice as the writer and Hasbro both thing Bumblebee has become way over exposed). Jetfire ends up getting into it with Starscream and soon Prime is up and running. Prime makes the choice to destroy teletraan 1 and that's why the forces will be limited here in the early goings I believe.
The issue ends with Starscream having to go for the badguys and find energy (as he's the only one who is not running on empty) and he actually squashes a guy. So, Starscream is definitely at is worst as a villain in this issue.
i'd say things are off to a promising start for this imprint and am interested to see how GIJoe/Cobra get protrayed once Duke and Cobra Commander minis start up.
