Just read issue #1 of Duke.
SPOILERS
This follows the fallout of Duke encountering Starscream in issue 2 of Transformers, has no idea what a transformer is or who Starscream is, just that the pilot giving him a ride got killed, and what was thought to be a jet became a hostile robot. Hawk wants Duke for some kind of mission, but wants him to stop asking questions, the gov is covering up/keeping the Transformers deal on the down low. Hawk wants Duke to get his head on straight, instead, Duke goes looking for answers. There's UFO books he has, as well as a book called Mindbender. So, the Skybound people like putting in all these little easter eggs in their Hasbroverse comics.
Duke ends up meeting up with Adele Burkhart who has points him in the direction of MARS, and Duke sneaks in and see the mother load of Military Industrial complex, classic cobra stuff being built, the HISS, Fang, Snake Armor, which definitely catching Duke's eye. Mercer and security beat him up, Destro doesn't have him killed, but his goons do find Burthart and steal all her data/research, which includes MASS. Hawk looks to be deploying at least Stalker and R&R to bring Duke in.
This is the classic mix of Sunbow and comic. Pretty breezy, left me wanting more. Sold b+ score of me.

Cobra Commander #1
Spoilers of course.
Art is good. We do get to see him in his v4 1991 outfit briefly. He was recruited into Cobra La as a scientist. So, a pretty simple solution to Cobra Commander is juar a guy, but also a member of Cobra La as I played around with from time to time in my head. They got ahold of Megatron and are holding him, but of course, the ways of Cobra La are bio-machinic, so messing around with Megatron is basically blasphemy. There is a bit of some infighting between regular Cobra La and the scientists, CC gets injured, why he gets that classic helmet (hide your shame). Golobulus is convinced by Cobra Commander to let him venture out into the world and work on behalf of the Cobra La cause. CC has no hang up on tech outside the bounds of the Cobra La way, so he is able to convince him. Pythona briefly shows up and we see plenty of the Cobra La bio-world.
Its pretty much motivation/back story of CC. And probably sits up a Cobra La/Decepticon show down eventually once Megatron loyalists figure out where he's being held.

Duke #2
spoilers....
Duke tracks down Clutch for help. Duke and him do some info dumping about a tech Duke has via Adele Burkhart and then Stalker and R&R show up. Duke being injured, he and Clutch are easily defeated.
They are taken to the PIT, which is now used as a place to store high risk prisoners til they are moved. But the cliffhanger is where you get the possible new alliance. Baroness herself is also there it looks like her Duke and Clutch will do a break out next issue.
This was a VERY fast read. Info Dump/Action/Cliffhanger. I don't know that I can say the issue with worth 4 bucks, but the overall story is fun.

Went ahead and read #3 of Duke as the last issue is fresh in my mind:
Duke is having a bit of a pity party at first, Baroness tries to will and deal with him and Clutch, but Duke knows who she is. There's a nice double page of Baroness background including a pic of her and her family with her as a young girl, its cute. Of course, now she's a terrorist. Duke rather just sit tight til he can talk to Hawk and hopefully get him to listen to reason.
HOWEVER
Destro wants the device Duke has/had and also Duke dead, so he sends Major Bludd and his blood hounds to raid the Pit. Duke, Clutch and Baroness do get free and have an uneasy alliance, she shoots Bludd in the back of the head. She's convinced 'they'll kill her' as well. Not sure if Bludd is dead of he'll come back, he starts the issue with both his eyes.
This series has been good imo. I'm enjoying it

I like how that Destro has his hands on some energon.
Is Jinx good or bad? Is she just loyal more loyal to her family?
Always wanted the convention version they did.

Read X-Men 97 #1
I was disappointed with it. The art is good enough, but script/plot were lackluster.
Run down: Wolverine is a dick to Scott because. Jean(clone) wants to tell Scott she's preggers, but it goes through the typical its delayed for drama reasons. Dazzler is kidnapped by the Friends of Humanity. Oh these guys are pushovers compared to the X-Men, so the fight scene is a big nothing. Dazzler is attacked at her concert some X-Men are attending by the Nasty Boyz, who are idiots when not being guided by Mr. Sinister, so the fight scene is a big nothing. Mr. Sinister shows up and tells the Nasty Boyz they suck.
Dazzler being put in 'danger' twice in the issue is pretty bad, if it happened a second time, she needed to be in real danger, something bad needed to happen to her or people at the concert... something, but doing the same beat twice in a row is lame. Wolverine/Scott tension is as generic as possible. The quality from the cartoon to this tie in comic is sad.
Less than 2 out of 4 stars. Below average (compared to the Skybound Hasbro stuff I've been reading, which are excellent).

Issue 3 of Cobra Commander: Zandar does capture Cobra Commander. Zarana seems to be in charge in abstance of her other brothers. There's also redshirt dreadknoks on hand. Cobra Commander is able to pick up on things and start playing Dreadknoks up against one another. Of course, his mission is to find energon and the noks have it. His companion, the brute, catches up to him at the end of the issue and sure enough, its actually Nemesis Enforcer.
While Cobra Commander is prisoner, they do try to remove his mask, but it has that gag where it shocks you from the toon. They smear a smiley face on his mask with his own blood and when the tables turn at the end of the issue, nice panels of him 'smiling' as Enforcer starts killing off screen.
I imagine the Dreadknoks will end up pacified and fall in line as lackeys to Cobra Commander next episode.
Another fun issue.

Cobra Commander 4: Dreadknoks on their heels against Nemy Enforcer, but of all people, Zandar gets his hero moment to help some of them escape. Meanwhile, CC forces Ripper to take him to the secret lab where Energon is being experimented on/converted and of all the people, Prof. Mullaney from the Springfield toon 2 parter being forced to do so. Just then, it is revealed, once CC had finished his mission, he is to be killed on the orders of Golobulus because he does not believe in the bio-vision of Cobra La. But CC manages to win the battle between him and the brute. Then CC figures out the buyer for the Dreadknoks, sure enough... its DESTRO! Things are coming together. Another enjoyable issue.
