I'll bring up this episode of TMNT 87 toon, Poor Little Rich Turtle.
This one follows tropes I recall seeing in too other shows, Transformers and GIJoe. The Girl Who Loved Powerglide and The Million Dollar Medic.
1. Young spoiled girl - Brittany Van Mark, Astoria Carlton-Ritz, Buffy Shellhammer 2. Heiress to a big tech company the villains are interested in 3. Romantic plot with more unassuming hero (Lifeline, Mikey, Powerglide). 4. Usually has some kind of company secret the villains are after, also usually quite intellect in their own right.
The turtles ep and the transformers ep is almost scene for scene recreation, so script rehashing was a thing amoung these children shows.
The deal with Turtle, I would say, Mike already had a thing going with Kala one of the Neutrinos.

I don't have any Playmates, but they look good!
Really liking the Super7 TMNT Ultimates line.
I don't know how I missed out on the Ultimates Rat King...but I'm sure I'll get another shot closer to release day I hope.

Seeing how Super7 Ultimate's are primarily based on the original Playmates toys...here's what's left
General Traag Usagi Yojimbo Fugitoid Napolean Bonafrog Panda Khan Pizzaface Antrax Heavy Metal Ralph Groundchuck Dirtbag King Lionheart Rappin' Mike Tattoo Walkabout Wyrm Halfcourt Docter El Hothead Sandstorm Scale-tail Merdude Krangs Android Body Monty Mouse Burne Irma Vernon Neautrino Dask Neautrino Kala
There's a ton of other turtles they could choose from too. Plenty to keep busy for a while.
Vehicles I would be down for: Pizza Thrower Foot Cruiser Cheapskate

So, I've made it to the "Red Sky" season. Which is sort of a soft reboot of Turtles. Darker in tone. More serious. Higher stakes. Turtles have a bit of a make over, April has a jacket and green shirt, and the sky is always this dark red.
So, in the opener, "Get Shredder", Shredder, Krang, and the two mutants are stuck on Earth without the Technodrome, so they are trying to come up with means to get in contact with dimension x. This leads to a showdown at Hall of Science, Krang wants to use it as a base of operations, but turns out this other guy, Drakus, is already there, so in the crossfire, Drakus takes Krang prisoner. Turns out he used to work for Krang and helped designed the Technodrome. So, he wants Krang to fix this war machine he is constructing. Meanwhile, Shredder thinks to the turtles have Krang, so quickly gets supplies for a bomb, and gives the turtles 30 mins to come up with Krang, or the building and all that work there go up in smoke. Turtles do get Krang to him in 31 mins, you're never late. Well, the station is still standing. Shredder replies, "I never bluff." And the building is destroyed. Turtles go into overtime mode and defeat Shredder/Krang/etc, but then they have to deal with Drakus, and the mainstay bad guys get away. Turns out Splenter helped April and the others get out of the building.
If you've never seen this episode, it is worth a watch.
Reminds me a bit of season 3 of Transformers where the villains are on their heels. This is also kind of a proto staging for 2003 Turtles reboot in character designs and tone of course.

1994? I didn't know they were still making first series TMNT episodes that late. Poor Mikey still can't use his nunchucks because British censors. "Turtles, you know who this is." "No." "SHREDDER." "You sound different."
I forgot Leo has the same voice as 200X Prince Adam, I keep expecting Teela to show up and berate Leo.

I opened up my batch of turtles finally.
Raphael...dream come true. He was the last toy I had for most of my teenage years.
While the Neca toys that resemble the cartoon are very cool...they don't look like that figure I kept on my dresser for years.
As a teenager I felt it was okay to have just one toy! And I had Raphael. Although later on I acquired a vintage millennium falcon...but thats a different story.
Anyway, the point is, he's a fun figure. They all are. Those weapons on the plastic tree, they are going to make background display pieces.
All the turtles are great.
Casey Jones is alright. The human male figures tend to be less interesting to me.
Splinter is neat. I like his accessories; bow, hot tea cup, cane, and one cane with a hidden sword.
April is beautiful. Three head sculpts! And none of the pictures advertise her this way.
Shredder is okay. I mean, the original toy was not that great, so basically...he's a villain in a mask.
Foot Soldier is awesome.
Rocksteady and Bebop are big and heavy! Rocksteady only has one head sculpt, while Bebop got two.
All in all, really fun toys.

So, I'm on the tale end of the Turtles series.
I do want to comment on the final Shredder/Krang episodes.
Cyber-Turtles - This episode features a Casey Jones/April Team up, no romancitic tension, but a slight bit of a nod to their other versions (movie/comics). Krang is trying to merge dimension X and this universe. The turtles themselves are dealing with some aliens Krang/Shredder stole an item from, hence the need for April/Casey to go after the mainstay villains head on. The episode does end with those aliens vowing to destroy that item, however, Splinter does worry that since time began evil has sought out power to give them control in conquest, so he wonders if it will actually happen. This episode is also the last direct commercial tie-in, promoting I guess Cyber Turtles, so in some respects, a bit of a contrast, the more serious tone, however, crazy mech scenes where building are destroyed by them.
Turtle Trek - Krang and Shredder are able to return to Dimension X and Krang's rock soldiers have repaired the Technodrome off screen during the season. The turtles at their home do complain about not being able to capture Shredder, however, Splinter interjects with his pov, "Capturing Shredder should not be your goal; we all live in what we radiate, therefore, doing good should be your primary purpose because the good you do for others will come back to you in abundance." Michelangelo restates it later on, doing good is more important than fighting evil. They are able to defeat Shredder/Krang once and for all and the Technodrome is into this pit by these tentacles after someone the Turtles helped throughout the episode helps them the moment Shredder seems like he finally has them dead to sights. The message from Splinter is a simple one and the episode is less about Shredder/Krang vs Turtles conflict, the turtles go on a trek most of the episode. Leonardo and Raphael have some tension this episode, again, lightly touching on their personalities in other media, while Michelangelo is portrayed as the sort of true believing student. It is the swang song for Krang/Shredder, so its worth a watch for that alone, but its more a look at Turtles dealing with lesson(s) from their master if anything.

The turtles stop chasing the baddies and volunteer at the soup kitchen and Habitat for Humanity.
Good thing Raph carries extra sai. Leo goes like Storm Shadow from "Countdown for Zartan" on tank wrecking crew guy. The turtles realize they don't just need to help people, they need guns. Raph gets a gun, beats wrecking crew. Mike gets a rock soldier lazer, does well. Flying tank thing takes out Shredder and technodrome. But it was risky to shoot the engine because they still need the drome's dimension portal to get home.
Gargan gets no scolding for selling them out most of the episode.

I definitely can see the idea of the lesson, but fighting villains also matters. People say Batman should do with his money to improve Gotham, meanwhile very dangerous Super Villains are around who could easily destroy it.
