Painted Buzzsaw for Lazerbeak screams awesome! Yeah, out of all the transformers, the tape players and cassettes are just the best...."Quakewave" came today. His eye and laser hand light up, but the flash on the camera prevents that from picking up at all. Nicest knock-off you could ever hope to find.  |

I got some new Transformers on the way/ pre-ordered:
New Optimus Prime is supposed to get here tomorrow :-)
Preordered Bumblebee...this one has been held back from getting released because VW wouldn't license "War-Toys", you know that whole World War 2 thing with the Nazi's. I guess somebody found a way to make it happen.
Apolyyon: AKA Megatron. This one is in scale with the rest of the masterpiece line, including the new Prime, and looks more like Megatron in robot mode.
Transistor: AKA Blaster. Looks amazing from the preview pictures. I also ordered the rest of the cassettes from a 3rd party (knock off) label.
Still want Ironhide, Jazz, Starscream, Grimlock and the rest of the dinobots...those guys are just cool.

Prime arrived today. It's nice. Scaled correctly for the rest of the Masterpiece figures. I haven't messed with transforming it, or even taken the trailer out of the box, but overall I'm happy. There's some things lacking that the larger MP-01 has, like a movable mouth, light up matrix, and pop up communicator arm panels...those would have been nice additions, but since it's a little smaller, I see why they left those things out. Not complaining about that, just worth noting. He's going to go perfectly with the Apollyon Megatron ;-)
Scheduled to arrive in December.
Yeah, I'm hooked. I don't give a crap about the new movies and the new Transformers, these are the ones that look like the 80's cartoon, that's all I care about.

Some cassettes I ordered got here. 3rd party knock offs from Keiths Fatasy Toys (KFC)....Got the doinosaur set, Steeljaw (orange), Slamdance, Squalktalk and Beastbox, and a better version of Ratbat.
Ratbat is great. Much better than the one that came with Soundblaster. The dinosaurs are really kewl. Steeljaw is impressive. My favorite is the purple gorilla Beastbox. Slamdance is my least favorite. I liked the original as a kid, him and Steeljaw were the only autobot cassettes I ever had. Squawktalk is cool, but how many flying birds does Soundwave need when Lazerbeak essentially does everything?
Still glad I picked these up. This is the one group of Transformers I feel the need to be a completest about.

$4 Retaliation Figures at Ollies. I found Kwinn and got him and a Data Viper. Only others they had that I could find were Budo, Ultimate Roadblock and the Firefly with the HISS drone.

I got the Masterpiece Bumblebee transformer. It's small, he is bigger than the Frenzy & Rumble cassettes, comes up to about Soundwaves waist. Seriously, one of the best toys I've ever had. It's just fun, cartoon accurate, well detailed. Not quite perfect because the inner forearms are hollow, but that's pretty minor. It leaves room for a possible upgrade. It came with Spike's exo-suit, which looks good, but I don't care about that thing, it makes a good novelty item though.
Fun fact, Bumblebee shares the same voice with Spiderman (from Spiderman and Friends) and...Beachhead!

Bumblebee/Spider-man was Dan Gilvezan, the same voice as Slipstream.
Got the last Retaliation Lady Jaye at Five Below. Lots of accessories, including a pack with actual straps that is designed only for female figures, but she can't wear it without her ponytail getting the way. Nice job, Hasbro.
5 Below has the second Avengers Assemble wave that never arrived in stores, includes Thor, Hawkeye, Nick Fury in blue suit and The Leader. I didn't watch much of that show, but I don't recall the Leader.

Happy New Year
Got 90's POTF Tusken Raider and Yakface mint on cards in fancy plastic collector cases from my father. He has a antique mall booth and traded some stuff for them. I hope he didn't trade anything good for them. I think the cases are worth more than the figures. LOL. Maybe not. The mall has one of those booths with every now-worthless 90's figure in it...Demolition man, Playmates Star Trek, Toy Biz Marvel (pre Legends)...
Also got a $40 gift card for Wal-Mart...the store that never has anything I want ever, unless it's marked down donuts and french bread. I did get to get see a shoplifter confronted there the other day. Dude was by the front door and pulling out stuff from his sweat shirt...then he tries to leave and some young guy tackles him and chases him through the parking lot. It was strange.

I JUST got moved into my new home. It's awesome. Haven't had internet for a few weeks I think....it's all kind of a blur :-)
I still need to move some toys in, and I won't be keeping everything I have, there just is no way it will fit. It's a small home, but it's really cool. Has a pirate feel to it. Makes me want to make an old pirate model boat or something. Anyway, I'm pretty stoked :-)
