I canceled my Horde Troopers. I had an accident recently and had to get 14 stitches in my hand, and a hefty hospital bill to go with it. I haven't pre-ordered the new Filmation set either.

No, it really was an accident at home. I kind of fell off my roof, even though it was sunny out, it was really slippery, and grabbed the gutter on the way down. The stitches were in my fingers, 4 on the index, 7 on the middle, and 3 on the ring one. I still can't move the knuckle closest to the fingernail on my middle finger. Doc said it could take up to a year to regain full mobility.

Yeah. Slammed my right index finger in a van door couple of years ago. It's never been as flexible as it was. It seems to have good days and not so good days.

Dang! Van doors ain't no joke. Me and a couple friends were going for a ride in some girls car once. My thumb got slammed by the door, I was outside the car and there was a girl on the inside, and we couldn't open the door for like 5 minutes because it had some child lock on it.

I lost the finger nail on the same finger from another car door. It got blood under it and then eventually fell off (after every twit kept telling me "it's gonna fall off). It gradually grew back. But was odd not to have a nail and still odd to have a new nail...makes me wonder how it would be if we could lose limbs and grow them back.

I broke down and ordered 2 Horde Troopers and a pack of Hover Robots. I almost placed an order for Ghost of Greyskull, but passed. I have a feeling SUper7 will do a Filmation accurate Horde Trooper, or Horde Trooper set...so I don't want to have too many of these guys anyway. Two will either be enough, or they will become Roton Drivers :-)
Also passed on the Twistoid set, just doesn't appeal to me, even if it is rare. Despara stopped showing in stock a while back, don't think they had more of her.

If I was rich I'd buy Modulok and Multi-Bot for nostalgia, because those were some of the most fun vintage toys. I wish they'd made a plant one and maybe a skeleton one.

My order arrived today, of a set of Hover Robots and two Horde Troopers :-)

Haven't taken them out of the package yet, but my initial thoughts...

Hover Robots have a hologram for their vitals/mouth, changes on which way you look at it. I thought they just came with stickers, I really like this feature :-)

Horde Troopers, I heard some people got dark grey and some got standard white, mine seem white to me. No bad paint mess ups, I felt safe ordering a non human figure. I may go back and order more, got to get them out of the box first before I decide that.

I pulled the plug on more Horde Troopers today...I just don't think there will be a better time to pick them up.

Some people are annoyed that the MOTUC Ultimates packaging will not be resealable. There was a flaw with the design and they didn't want to wait 4 to 5 weeks longer to come up with a new one. So the bubbles are glued to the cardbacks. That sucks, but since these were already delayed, I can understand why Super 7 chose not to wait.

I don't collect these, I think maybe some people are too hard on Super 7 so far (Still a lot of bitterness around from Mattel's mistakes). Because it was a lucky thing that anyone picked up the series to continue. That's doesn't happen much. Hasbro's never gonna give 4" GI JOE rights to another company. Yes, there's gonna be 4" figures all over the place from Marauders and kickstarter lines, but the actual GI JOE characters...not gonna happen.

Fans should be pissed about the cards though because it's what Super7 said was going to be sold.

I think the Ultimates are pretty cool either way...I just don't need them. What I still need is Mantenna, Modulok, Mer-Man, Trap Jaw and Buzz-Off.

Super7 has just taken a long time. I'm digging the Filmation style a lot. Although throwing Hawke in the mini-comic set was kind of a dick move, but at least we are getting her.

I think Super 7 bit off more than they realized by taking the license and showing stuff too soon. Early on they didn't even know pricing specifics and if they could use the same factories Mattel was. Then the unusable tooling thing happened.

Makes me wonder what some of these kickstarter folks will run into.

And since I don't collect any, why do I care? Just try to keep up with the action figure world...other than a few 4" Star Wars I got the interest or especially money to get into anything new.

Well, I got my 10 Horde Troopers today, puts my total army count at 12. More than enough. *Sigh* and I swore I would never army build anything again.

It's only a matter of time till you start finding this stuff in your garage sale finds. These toys are over priced, and when fans go to sell their stuff off (because they'll get interested in something else new), they may find it utterly disappointing that nobody will pay top dollar because nobody but them had the need to have it like they did. I get that MOC stuff does hold a certain value to it...but when people want $75 for their loose Mantenna, I got to say, "Go fuck yourself." I've opened up all my stuff and when/if I do someday sell it, I'm just probably going to throw it all in one big lot with no reserve and .99 opening bid....

That's probably what I'll do with my Joe's and Transformers.
