Halfway through Thundercats Season 1...there's like 65 episodes in that season, but only 20 I think in each one of the other 3.
Thoughts:
Snarf has become my favorite Thundercat, haha! I used to hate him as a kid, just found him annoying, especially when I wanted to see more of literally any other Thundercat. But now, everytime I hear "Snarf snarf!" it makes me laugh.
The first episode, the mutants shoot down several Thundercat ships. This is right after the destruction of Thundera. A planet destroyed, and many innocent lives killed...pretty violent.
Mumm-Ra is easily defeated every time from his own reflection. But this does give him reason to need the evil mutants.
Every time Jaga shows up, I get chills. The music, and his voice...you know an important lesson is about to be taught. Yes, it's basically Force Kenobi talking to Luke...but it's still pretty cool.
Halfway through the season in the two-parter episodes "Feliner", Snarf leaves to go live on the planet of Snarfs forever. He feels useless among the other Thundercats, and Lion-O is grown now, so he doesn't need a nurse maid.
Lion-O is upset he goes, and can't talk him out of it. There is no follow up story or explanation for Snarf returning in future episodes...it's odd there is no explanation at all, nothing, nada zilch. I assume Snarf would just return on the Feliner, where he couldn't leave the Thundercats behind forever. But there would probably be a better story with someone like Captain Cracker, kidnapping Snarfs for Mumm-Ra. Thundercats would have to help. Lion-O would have a chance to express his need to have Snarf around for his mentoring advice and companionship. Snarf would come back home with him.
Hachi-Man and Lion-O duel on a bridge, both too full of pride to yeild and nearly fall to their death, but the Amazonian Nayda saves them both. Hachi Man discovers it's Lion-O, the one Mumm-Ra ordered him to hunt down. But Hachi-Man has respect for him, so he doesn't understand how he could be evil. And his sword won't let him fight, so he knows he has been deceived by Mumm-Ra.
Vulture-Man appears out of nowhere as one of the Mutants. How he shows up is never fully explained, they play it off like he's been there the whole time. Okay.
When the Thundercats get called into action from Lion-O's sword of omens, they tend to dilly dally with a checklist "Tygra ready! HO!" You would think they would just go, haha.
When Ratar-O shows up, he just takes over as mutant leader. Slythe is pissed. But all the mutants are cowards around Ratar-O.

The first episode is wild with them all naked lol It's crazy that got past the censors. And all of the boys and men have been neutered! Except Jaga, nobody pulls off the onesie open breast like he does. I think it some later broadcasts they cut those nude scenes out. There's another with adult Lion-O sleeping with Wily-Kit...that's weird. Odd because he seems to flirt with Cheetara in some episodes. But he is actually the same age as Wily Kit...I don't know. Leaves me wanting to just collect TMNT from here on out

I always thought their naughty parts were under their fur, like if it was sexy times, the stuff would come out to play so to speak.
I do recall the reboot... there was a bit of a love triangle between Tygra, Cheetara and Lion-O, but by the end it seems like Cheetara had chosen Tygra, and also it also kind of oddly made the point (maybe I imagined this), but Wily-Kit would be better suited to be a King Lion-O's significant other. Its been ages since I watched the reboot, so don't hold me to that. But I could of swore it seemed to hit that idea and of course the toy line failed, the show got cancelled. I did think it was pretty good (again been along along time since I saw it).

Interesting idea about the fur :-)
I never saw the reboot series either.
Have to give that a watch too.

So, I want to comment on an old show I watched on and off as a kid (as my sister was older and usually I piggy backed off her watching habits).
Beverly Hills, 90210
I pulled up the two part first episodes for the heck of it because I was feeling nostalgic about Shannen Doherty.
The premise, twins Brendon/Brenda move from Minnesota and try to get used to the fast pace of Beverly hills etc etc.
Character run down: Andrea - Socially shy, nerdy over achiever. Around mainly to bust Brendon's balls on the school news paper in these first episodes. Can not pass as a highschooler (she looks like she could be a teacher).
Brendon - Captain America, good looks, boysout trope. Walks the line of sincere morality and insufferable do gooder. Can pass as a highschooler.
Brenda - Apparently a bit of a wallflower back where they came from, but fell in quickly with queen bee Kelly by being lab partners. Shannen Doherty is very pretty and plays the part of girl next door, culture shock and so forth. Can pass as a highschooler.
David/Scott - Two dorks who want to climb the social latter/get babes and so on. Can pass as teenagers (because they were). They work real as dorky freshmen because all the older actors/extras are so much bigger, I will give the show for not giving you 'Hollywood nerds' who are funny, charming and just need to take off their glasses. There's an air of desperation with these two than can be painful a bit to watch.
Donna - A glorified extra who is one of Kelly's friends. She can pass as a teenager because she actually was playing her age. I don't believe her character actually becomes a character til the end of season 1, but its been ages, so I could be wrong about that.
Dylan - The badboy. Actually shows up in episode 3. Loner, 'trouble' but really not per say, more lonely and people start having assumptions about him because he's shut off from others. Can not pass as a highschooler.
Kelly - The queen bee who has money looks and power. She can be very inconsiderate, but I wouldn't say she's done anything outright horrible aside from making fun of David when he was driving Steve's car. Can pass a highschooler.
Steve - Big man on the school, clothes, nice car, carries himself like someone important. Goofy, but status helps him. A bit comedy relief. Son of a former tv star. Can not pass as a highschooler.
This show has excellent ying and yang: Brendon/Dylen ... good guy/bad boy Brenda/Kelly .... good girl/bad girl
For all your viewing audience to crush on whatever trope you like. Then the other cast mates fill out supporting roles as needed. But those are the big four.

I watched 90210. At first it was just because Kelly and Brenda were cute and hot. Then I said it was because I loved making fun of it. But then I got hooked.
Aside from David, I didn't think any of them could pass as high schoolers.
I thought David was such a dork, and then in Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles he shows up as Reese's brother....turning that show into another 90210 spinoff sort of. He has an important role, but then when the show got cancelled, they killed him off so poorly, he dies for absolutely nothing.
But anyway, back to 90210. I never understood how Dylan could have his own place on the beach and go to school whenever he feels like it. Most of his time seems to be spent surfing....or looking like he goes surfing. He even seemed too cool to be bothered to show up for filming his own scenes in the show, so they fill in with Brendon instead.
Episodes that stand out to me from memory the one where Brendon goes to jail for Drinking and Driving. I think he got grounded.
When Andrea offers her virginity to Brendon...and he turns her down...*OUCH!* Their friendship had to be forever awkward and/or over after that.
Steve gets skin cancer, he spends a whole episode and fails trying to bring awareness to people on the beach.
Episode about the L.A. Riots. These people are so disconnected from that reality, this show tries blending those two worlds together...it's embarrassing.
Mostly I remember Kelly acting like a slut. And being slut shamed. I think everyone sleeps with Kelly at some point...whether this happens or not, just how I remember it, lol.
And drama with Shannon/Brenda seems to be not so much acting...carries over with her into that witches show she did Charmed...before they fired her for too much drama I heard.

I think there's a pre-Brenda camp then the post-Branda camp in terms of firm eras for the show. But apparently she was wild and just a little storm on set. The actors who played Brenda and Kelly even going into a physical altercation at one point.
The show quality drops off post-highschool, I think in general. At some point it feels more daytime soap trash quality. I remember vaguely Brendon in college involved with some lady who in real like was a playboy playmate lol.

My brother and his girlfriend would watch that show (for the first few seasons, they abandoned it). We had one tv. It was on opposite The Flash (90's show). So no Flash for me. I'm still bitter about it. It was strange that Tiffani Amber Thiessan later joined the show. Saved by the Bell transfer student? I remember Conan O'Brien's joke that Luke Perry fought in Korea. RIP Luke Perry. Shannen Doherty seems hard to deal with (She's been divorced 3 times). That's why she left Charmed and was rarely mentioned and never seen again. Maybe Alyssa Milano shares some blame. She's also likely to pass away soon, if Doherty's wikipedia page is accurate. Cancer in her brain and bones.

Brenda was hot, but you could tell there was WWIII raging behind those eyes. I would have pushed for you to be able to watch Flash! I didn't even know there was a 90's series! I saw only the very end of the Hulk and Daredevil movie though, and I remember that I was quite excited just about that. I forgot about the Saved By the Bell transfer...I liked that. Should have brought the whole gang on, might have saved the show...probably not. I forget the other girl who went on to do nude scenes in a terrible movie. Showgirls. She's also likely to pass away soon, if Doherty's wikipedia page is accurate. Cancer in her brain and bones. Young healthy Hollywood actress with tons of money to focus on health and well being, gets brain and bone cancer for no reason. Nothing to do with the jab.

She had breast cancer before all that. They just never could get it all before it metastisized.
Tom Wilkinson passed recently (the mob boss in Batman Begins among other roles). He was in his 70's, but still no news what he died from. But that's off topic.

Bad Batch Season 3 "Detained" - Poor little girl Omega goes through the drudgery routine of prison life. I liked it. Not much happens, it's more set-up for later. 8/10. "Paths Unknown" - More kids, as Wrecker and Rambo...Hunter search for info on where Omega is being held, but fine a destroyed base and 3 young adolescent clone boys. And Empire's evil experiment, ambulatory plants...man, the kind that gobble you up! It's quasi horror but since one dies, less effective. I mean, it's filler but okay filler. Two of the clones almost steal their shuttle, but we've done that crap plot once already. There's an opening part with Devaronians, the horned aliens, the devil looking ones. Of course they got a ladyboss...and she has hair, unlike the males. Why? 6/10. "Shadows of Tantiss" - Ian McDiarmid guests as the Emperor, but that part is not that interesting. obligatory escape episode with Omega and Crosshair, where a small girl, one clone and a semi-tamed hound monster beating a platoon of stormtroopers without much trouble, really who's is surprised? . 7/10

Giving the anime series Full Metal Alchemist a watch.
I used to catch this one when I lived with some friends. We would get really high before it came on like at 12:30 at night.
I remember liking it, but really only understood part of what was happening, haha. I would often fall asleep half way through.
Anyway, giving it a go...only seven episodes in...man this show had some incredible storylines, characters, and some very sad moments.
SPOILER ALERT!

I'm on episode 30 of FMA already Been staying up late binge watching. I can't really review it until I'm done I think. Even then, I do not want to spoil anything else. But the bond between the main characters brothers is very cool. The villains are extremely dark characters. It's kind of an alternate view of WWI and II it seems to me. Definitely hooked on it for now.
