No, it's the Episode 1 end celebration ceremony gown/dress (with peace globe). It retains value because it was under-shipped or because they'll never make a new one or reissue it again. I'm not gonna open it.
Suprisingly those pit droids aren't too bad on the aftermarket. I think there were many versions, maybe that's why.
I had R1-G4 already...MOC. I still don't want to open either. I doubt they'll remake it. I should try to get a loose one and then sell a MOC one.

Ceremony Gown Padme is incredible. Mistake to sell IMHO, but I am kind of a hoarder.
R1-G4, is one of the ugliest pieces of junk droids there is. But it makes a Tattoine scene come together...almost as essential as a Condenser.

Oh and the X-wing stickers, I have to give my 4 year old self props for, because you could look at the X-wing from one side, and it was clean, and the other it was all damaged :-)

I like the micro-X-Wing idea...ahead of its time (before those crash dummy toys), you can "break it" into pieces, then press a button and it comes back together. I never had it, but I had the snowspeeder which did the same...and was one of the rarer micro collection items.
R1-G4 is part of an iconic scene...so much I bought it when i wasn't really collecting Star Wars. It was a must have. WHY DIDN'T I OPEN MY ORIGINAL? Maybe I was moving or something. Reminds me I have two Ephant Mons moc, too.

That micro X-wing was my favorite toy ever, well, it was up there anyway. Never had the Snowspeeder, but the Wampa Cave...not that exciting of a set really, but it did come with Chewbacca! I had the micro AT-ST too, used that with Chewbacca for ROTJ battles :-) I had the bespin sets without the freeze chamber....got that when I was recollecting years ago though.
Too bad those sets got cancelled.

Got all this a Mom2Mom event at rec center. The idea is moms selling kids stuff to other moms, I usually ignore them. This one mentioned Star Wars, so I paid the dollar admission and found some good stuff. I paid $30 for it all, two separate sellers. Same Pit Droid 2-pack I got 2 weeks ago. Now I can sell one. They had a lot more MOC two for $5, but it was all Episode 1 and 2 era and not even any of the harder to find ones.  First Order TIE isn't too bad for $5, not a $40 toy by any means. It's missing the missiles. And the pilot. First order snowspeeder is meh...the launcher's base is missing so it won't attach to vehicle. But for $3 with pilot. Oddly the Sky Sweeper stealth plane was complete even with missiles. It's over ten years older than the SW vehicles. Got a headless stormtrooper because a super articulated body for a buck isn't bad. I may have a damaged used Storm trooper to head swap...if it works. Odd to find UPDRAFT's helmet! That and Downtown's pack were the only vintage ARAH items I saw. |

Tie-Fighter doesn't need a TIE-Pilot. Throw a Bounty Hunter in there like Greedo, it makes it a cooler toy IMO. I still want to paint my TIE Bomber in Dengars colors.

It's TIE fighter year. Got these at an estate sale on sunday.  $18 for the ROTJ TIE and $8 for the AST-? with a C-3PO (rem limbs) inside. Some guy just beat me to the Y-Wing with box (which had writing on it) and a loose B-Wing. No idea how much they were. I passed up an endor forest ranger for $8....thought about it. the imperial shuttle pof mini rig for $12 (why $4 more than the others?). POTF2 X-wing for $45  . A 1980 snowspeeder for $28...meh. Max Rebo's organ for $6 and an incomplete speeder bike for ...I dunno...too much. One of those knock-off space cases figure cases, little beat up...$6. A MOBAT for $8. Meh. There was bag of SW figures I didn't see the photo of. Guy must've gotten them, too. $38 they appear to be marked. There's my 3PO's backpack thing! Nothing rare there. I've never had a mini-rig of any kind. Always thought they were pretty neat though. That's almost the only C-3PO I've ever got...for the exception of the Episode one and Two versions, but I don't have those anymore.

All this ARAH list stuff got me to buy this lot from China for $12. Wanted the con set Buzzer...it's been awhile since i've gotten ARAH style figure I don't have. Sub-Viper makes it worthwhile. Seller has another random figure lot with the same Buzzer in it, but the best other figure in that lot is a dirty Sidetrack (who isn't that common). For some reason that Dreadnok con set was overproduced and/or unpopular.  The 3 new sculpt figures are meh...Viper Kingdom's random lots are usually majority new sculpts. It'll be weeks before it arrives. |
