Got to start the year off with something. I broke down and got the Mythic Legions Barbarian Builder Set. It has most of the parts to create a Warduke, which is why I got it. I can tell Warduke is going to be an ongoing project for some time for me. I'm also realizing I should have got into the Mythic Legions line sooner. That's the way it goes. There's a couple other figures to help you make the classic D&D figures from the 80's, that knight and the wizard I think. I want some of those Skeleton troop builders too....and the Trolls! Hopefully they'll release more and I won't have to hunt them down on ebay. I just don't know if this line was meant to grow, or was kind of a one shot run?

Warduke sweet. Makes me wonder why no AD&D kickstarter.
I don't know much about 4 Horsemen lines. The Power Lords was intended to be bigger but they've given up on it. Outer Space Men completed its run. I was sort of interested in both but never got a single item. This one is entirely their baby, so no licensing. They might stick with it longer.
I'm was looking at Marauder Inc Valkyrie. They have a female t-shirt body for $5 and you can pick out one of a dozen+ different female heads for it for $2. Adding head wear, weapons and etc will cost more if you want that. But a basic new super articulated 4" female figure for $7 before shipping...that's pretty cool.

MaraunderInc has come a long way! Those figures look pretty good! I'm stoked, I just came across an article from the Four Horsemen, saying that they plan on rereleasing all of the previous waves in 2017. Wish I could direct a link to the article, but I lost it. It basically said that they did not expect to sell out so quickly. Like, their store couldn't handle the amount of orders that came through when the day of sale opened, so they want to make sure everyone gets a shot at buying these. Pretty cool. I want the trolls, dawrves, orcs, skeleton warriors, all of them really. So yeah, I'm going to wait on buying these off ebay and save up for when they go on sale at their store. Also, you can make the AD&D Strongheart by putting Sir Gideons head on Otho's body

Okay, Barbarian Builder Pack arrived today, here's some notes of interest:
*You can make a bare bones version of Warduke out of the box. The figure feels like Warduke...at least the beginning of one.
*The main sword matches Warduke perfectly, so does the dagger. I thought the sword was just going to be a plain old sword, but it's Warduke's sword!
*Figure doesn't have an "ab-crunch". Not a big deal really, but worth noting. I've often thought that feature was pointless articulation in the past, and that the detail lost wasn't worth the articulation....but now I'm used to it...and it feels odd to not have it.
*The belts awesome, the skull buckle works great. I love that the Skeletons tend to wear this too (I think the orcs do as well), so it'll make a really nice match, like he's leading an army of the undead.
*I'm left not really wanting the Attlus figure for my Warduke project....at least not anytime soon. Attlus' belt has red on it, has a silver right hand glove (like the cartoon, not the figure) and has the left arm armor...that's about it I think....If I can get it when it goes back on sale, I'll probably try to pick one up then.
*Warduke still needs a medallion and red rubies! This will be tricky, but I know somebody that might be able to help me out with this.
*Armor, left arm and thigh armor/chainmail...might just sculpt this myself...or wait on getting an Attlus figure.
*The helmet needs to be painted blue and the eyes red.
*Still needs a skull shield.
Overall, I'm really happy with it. I'm left wanting to add a few details and work on some paint, but it does feel like I got a Warduke out of the box.

I was gonna order some 3 3/4" Imperial Navy Officers from Entertainment Earth because they are $4.80 each and their sale ends tomorrow. But I'm depressed about life right now and can't rationalize spending the money. I'd never do anything with them anyway.
I need to sell some stuff. Just selling the stuff I never intended to keep would help a lot. Such a slooow process.

I need to sell stuff too....a lot of stuff. My moms an accountant and tells me I need to make sure to report the income on my taxes, but I don't remember what I originally paid for anything! I don't think the governments really going to crack down on the toy collectors though. I do think I'll be better off once I've sold off my stuff, less clutter in the house means it will be cleaner and easier to keep clean too. This was never really a problem for me till I got a dog, now everything gets dusty...fast! I mainly need to sell my Transformers and a bunch of Star Wars stuff...and some G.I. JOE's...not even getting rid of everything, just to at least get rid of some of it. I could probably take a month off from work, and I'd barely make a dent in it. I've thought about just donating everything to a toys for tots. I may do that, but sell the more expensive items. It would be nice to use the money to pay off some debt, but the upside is having more space and a cleaner home in a short period of time. I hear ya man, taking pictures, listing stuff, getting it packed up and weighed, then actually mailing the stuff...ugh...it is a lot of work. I'm convinced if I start making it a habit sell like 10 things a week (preferably in one day), I'll be on track. Just to get myself in that routine would be great. Not sure if I'll sell stuff in lots or individually....probably in lots, just to move through it quicker. I think the secret is also looking at stuff that you just don't care about anymore and letting go of it. I've been finding as I go back into my older stuff it's like I really don't care about most of it anymore, so there's no reason to hang onto it. Sorry your depressed man

I've been searching high and low for a good Peter Pan figure lately. I came across one that fits in nicely with the 6" scale...he's about 4 or 5 inches tall, looks right. Articulation sucks though. His head moves fine, but the arms are posed resting his hands on his hips. It's a good pose, the arms move, but look stupid in any other position. Legs have zero articulation. Figure is from the video game Kingdom Hearts. I've looked at pretty much every Peter Pan figure and statue ever made, trying to find the right one for me. This is it....well, I do wish it had more articulation, but as far as what's out there, yeah.
I may attempt a more articulated custom down the line, and at least I would probably be able to use the head on this figure. I've been thinking a DC Robin figure, or Marvel Arrow figure might work...but for now, that'll do pig.

Some pics Warduke WIP Anti-Eternia He-Man Peter Pan's fucking scary!!! Seriously, there's some weird stuff out there about the author, and the character, and his origins. Turns out he probably kills the Lost Boys when they get too old. I'm more into the positive aspects of "think happy thoughts" and you can fly Pan. Still, the guys got a disturbing look about him, even in some scenes in the cartoon.

I thought it was weird they did these live action musicals and Peter Pan was played by a flat chested woman.

I've never watched the live musicals, don't want to either, but from the way the cartoon happens, I kind of think certain family members are characters in Neverland.
Captain Hook is the father, and in the most recent movie from 2003, the same actor plays both roles, and I believe this happens in the cartoon version as well. I believe the original book associates Captain Hook with the mother though.
Tinkerbell is the mom...I only think this because of the way she wears her hair in the cartoon. She seems to easily defuse the fathers anger, and Tinkerbells voice is just little ringing bell noises, like the kids barely hear her, and as the mom, she supports the development of the childrens imagination.
*Note, the longer you stay in Neverland the more you forget, and it's easy to forget your parents. So the children are disassociating themselves with their own parents by pretending they are these characters.
Wendy is Peter Pan. She knows all of the stories and likes playing with the boys and doesn't want to grow up. This also makes sense why she is portrayed by a female actress in the live plays.
In reality, the authors brother drowned when he was 13 years old, and it's believed that he's Pan, because he's the boy who never gets to grow up. More morbid interpretations are connected to the Greek God Pan, who has tons of similarities, it's believed he was the inspiration for a lot of Pans characteristics.

Interesting take on Warduke. I got the 2014 re-release of Predaking with Christmas money. He's still on Amazon, and marked down. I got too much crap already, the only things I've been buying are the odd Hot Wheels or cheap Lego.

Found a 1992 General Flagg in a bag at a resale shop along with a few assorted toy cars for $2. No accessories.
Saw the 3 3/4" Black Series at Wal-mart, Jyn ERso, Death Trooper, Royal Guard and Ahsoka...but balked at $13 each. LOL. Found myself almost getting the Death Trooper, was comparing paint ops and etc...reminding me of why I don't really miss buying new toys. So I put it back.
