So someone hopes to make the big Cobra robot from THE REVENGE OF COBRA miniseries. It's not 100% accurate (they added feet, which makes sense than the toon version) and will be 10 inches which seems far too short, the toon characters barely reached its knees.

Stuff like this is why I always thought Transformers and G.I. JOE universes were meant to merge.

Dude got shut-down just days before reaching full funding...seems Hasbro wasn't happy about it.

Lame. I have no interest in it, but if Hasbro isn't going to make one, then who cares?

Eagle Force 40th Event The Kraken rip-off Goreg Gills is the best, and that's the one that's made it to 500 preorders so far. Still too much money for a 4" figure.

"DO what old Jack Burton does when someone uses his likeness without permission..."
Charlie Brown Blockhead. It's funny but is it $27 funny?
Yes, they are after the 25th/modern people but they are now competing with others like Marauder and such, and fan focus seems to have shifted to Classified 6 incher.

The only reason Goregills reached funding, is it's named after the dude who runs the Surveillance Port. He's a cool dude, so it's understandable.
Some of those figures look good, and the homages to shit like Super Mario and Charlie Brown are fun, but like you said "is it $27 funny?"
Eagle Force actually getting made is something that still surprises me, however it's too late in the game. 6" took most fan focus, and any 3 3/4" fan focus has been predominantly O-Ring for the last 5 or so years, so this stuff doesn't even resonate. Some Eagle Force homages in O-Ring Joe format would've done well, but the only dude who would've tried that was Red Laser, and he was too esoteric for his own good, and sadly too flaky to succeed.

Actually, Fresh Monkey Fiction (is that who it is?) did make that $20 RIOT Trooper in o-ring style...well some differences. I;, skeptical they'll do more. Maybe a repaint.
Red Laser's Army is why you don't buy product that doesn't exist yet without a safety net. That and all the stories of custom casters who vanish with people's money.

The price point for Eagle Force is way too much for what they are. Bottom line. Also, no female figs... not even one.

The joke and movie tribute figures have made the 500 goal, while the vintage Eagle Force characters have not (yet). I'd think that says something about how many people give a shat about EAGLE FORCE. Even General Brown, an easy General Hollingsworth stand-in for GI JOE fans, is just at 300.

I am just going to mention the Rancor crowdfunding on Hasbro Pulse has dipped under 5000... people are canceling their orders because of the bad stretch goals.
Think no Rancor Keeper and Oola was a HUGE mistake for the project.
Skystriker is currently at 5,572.

Sky Striker currenly 5,617 Backers (Target 10,000)
Under 17 days to go, possibility that this thing ain't gonna happen increasing (I suspect it will fund it because Hasbro will fudge the numbers.) . Damn sure no stretch goals unless Hasbro rigs that, too. I wouldn't consider backing it unless all stretch goals are met (honestly, if they offered Wayne Ruthel by himself, I'd just back that!). So I'm part of the problem. Of course, I think overpriced exploitation fund-me projects by sheepish toy companies are a rip-off. They want fan dollars but want fans to put up most of the risks and WAIT, then pat themselves on the ass for doing fans such a service.

It was fairly cocky of Hasbro to put three HasLabs up at once in the first place.
