SPOILERZ season 3 episode 3. This governer is a real dick and a nutjob. I want him to meet Rick and Governor would be like "I'm gonna take this prison." And then Rick whacks him in the head with a machete. That's it. The rest of the season they discuss planting crops and redecorating the prison.

Well, this show is definitely alot better now. Better pacing, better action, real emotional pay offs.
I feel bad for T-Dogg, but I guess the show felt they had to cut their losses. Not every character could recover. Suddenly, he's trying to be a voice of conpassion? It doesn't mesh with the way he's behaved in the past. He got red-shirted and they wanted him likeable on his way out.
He's redundant anyway. Rick already has a lieutenant.
Maggie and Glenn go from the honeymoon period to married.. with children pretty quickly. Welcome to the new reality. That baby girl is important if humanity is going to survive.
I never was much of a Lori fan, particularily when she was in the triangle, but I did like her final words to her son, "You can beat this world." It felt powerful to me.

Yeah, Lori had a good performance at the end. T-Dogg had nobody. Even the new young blond girl is too busy flirting with Carl to notice him.
Whose the mysterious person feeding & luring the zombies (maybe even triggering the Prison alarm too)? I feel like it has to be somebody we've seen before.
Stupid Andrea wants to stay in town. Um, badass survival chick Michonne wants to leave, that would be good enough for me.
Zombies seem to be running pretty fast now, kind of like "28 Days Later" fast.
The ammo situation has to be getting pretty bad for the Prison group by now.
The baby being born a walker is a spoiler that got destroyed the last episode when they were talking in town about how they've been having kids.
The flashback for Carl having the talk with Rick was done well too.
Not much of a group left. Going to be great to see the redneck brothers unite. Drama between Daryl having to choose between T-Dogg and his brother Merle is off the table now. Will he choose his brother, or the group? Don't the the farmers daughter and him are gonna hook up, so not a lot of incentive to stay. It will be interesting for sure.

Not every character could recover. Suddenly, he's trying to be a voice of conpassion? Was that an intentional pun? I dunno if that was on character or not, since we saw so little of T-Dog. Some fool at IMDB make these awful racist jokes one was "how come T-Dog died then was alive later and wearing a prison uniform?" Yeah, basically, new black guy to take the token black guy role. T-Dog had to go...I guess. Maybe they kill the convict, too. But Rick needs soldiers. Glen can't do everything. And Carl is still a wee lad. And yeah, the zombies seem faster lately. Where did Carol go?

The mysterious stranger luring the zombies, watching Carol play with the dead zombie has probably kidnapped her.

The mysterious stranger luring the zombies, watching Carol play with the dead zombie has probably kidnapped her. Nope. She was just chilling in another broom closet. WTF? How is it that the governor's people loot everything but wander off after Michonne without a vehicle? How did Merle and Michonne and Maggie and Glenn wind up in the same po-dunk town at the same time? How did Michonne find the prison? Did she have a map? Andrea is f'ing retarded. She's the only one of Rick's group I want to die. I'm all for archery school drop out girl to die, too. "This isn't a game!" Good, because you'd have lost. Really messy episode that relied a lot on conveniences, coincidence and Rick's land line.

It was a weak episode.
I felt robbed that Merle turned out to be a pussy coward. That's the end of that character for me because I could enjoy him on the level that I thought he was a badass. Now, not so much. Kills a guy to stop a search, lies about killing Michonne (Gov wanted her head to add it to his private collection in those aquariums).
Andrea is a hold over from last season, the 'farm season', the idea of sexual politics, loyal to whomever makes her horny. That's why she ditched Michonne so easily. Didn't Merle call her a whore? It's about right. Not good enough to defend the wall, but good enough to warm the Gov's bed. Horrible character, horrible storyline, completely unlikeable.
The only thing I could really stomach was Rick's closure with the dead and realizing he doesn't have to shut down his emotions. But other than that, this was season two fail quality.

In the comic the phone thing goes on for awhile. I'm hoping its done here...I think it served its purpose.
Merle. People were thinking they might redeem his character, but Merle is a chicken shit type...remember he was getting high and randomly shooting walkers in Atlanta. We are made to think he's done a turn around, but really, he's the same trash, but he's found himself a nice spot in the apocalypse and his desire to keep that outweighs anything else except maybe wanting to find Darryl. (Maybe he just wants his bike back!)

Merle seems like a chickenshit of oppourtunity. Without his pack, he didn't have what it takes to go after Michone. He only seems brave when he has the upper hand, or element of surprise. The Mexican guy he killed wasn't a threat, but he knew Michonne is, so he killed him because one on one, Michone would take him out. Andrea seems to be filing the "stupid blonde" role. She's never been likeable. The town has its appeal, if you don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Michone knew somethign was up, Andrea didn't want to look.
Glenn is probalby going to be pushed over the edge while captive. I can see Merle raping his girlfriend, or something else bad happenign to her and Glenn.

Another spotty episode.
What purpose did the crazy old man in the cabin serve? Padding...to give obligatory walker-action for the gore hounds (it wasn't that gorey).
Also, the dying old man...more with with the Gubnah's nerd guy!
Michonne is up and ready to go with them and them her...and okay, get the ball rolling...but in this case the shack attack scene could've been axed and more exposition added.
The black prisoner is going with them? To rescue some folks he barely knows?
Walkers do seem faster lately. Some of them anyway.

The cabin guy plot device annoyed me. He's a mile or two outside the town and no one has noticed him? These people have apparently mapped out the area and dismissed the prison as untakable in the red zone, but don't know about Grizzly Adams. Come on now.
The Gov wants to expand to the prison. So, Rick has to go. But his troops are wannabes. I don't even think the scientist is a true scientist, more like maybe a hobbist. Merle wants personal revenge and his brother back. Andrea is just playing as a modern concubine. His deck or cards will crumble because Rick's group has really been tested.
Look how quickly Glenn took out that Walker. I don't think that girl from last week with the bow would be able to do that.
When you saw the people left behind, "children and the elderly", oh and the druggy, there was a real sense that all the capable adults went off on the mission. He would have looked real small staying behind.
But if I know this show, he's a red shirt who's time is about up.

I've been playing catch up and watched three episodes yesterday. I'm curious if Michonne is some how connected to the first black male and his son we saw in the first episode. I like that Andrea is sleeping with the enemy, don't you just hate here Dale was the only one who seemed to care about her, and as soon as he went the group ditches her I feel like the writers wanted to actually use T-Dog this season and would have had him become like Daryl's blood brother over Merle, but T-Dog had had enough stringing his character along. He probably had like 5 lines the whole series. I liked the phone call bit with Rick. The end of Season 3, Rick gets a clean shirt.

I was disappointed by the return episode. I felt like it was a bait and switch for Rick and crew to do another assult on Gov's town to save Daryl so soon. Seemed like they completely walked back the idea of Daryl and Merle being in danger. It felt like a cheat.
Hmm, so Rick is losing it and making bad calls. Who will fill the leadership void? Also, Gwen is feeling inadequate and wants revenge. The group is a mess right now. They need to come together and get ready for the Gov's revenge.

It was weak. Relied on Merle being a loud mouthed asshole to fill in plot points for Rick and Co.
Andrea's stirring speech. BARF. :-X

It's official now. Rick had gotten all the convicts killed. Half the Farm people, over half the original group. The guy is a death magnet. Tyreese was lucky to escape him. The story required Daryl to come back because everyone else is disturbed or useless. Good grief, he was gone half an episode! Governor parks his truck in visual range of the prison. Think about that. How could they not hear. Are the walkers making that much noise? I think the big twist will be that there's two Governors. Twin brothers. A good guy and an evil one. The evil one lost his eye and had to inflict the same injury on the good one so no one would find out.
